Christmas H.O.P.E.

HOPE - it's what we all share in one way or another. Some have hope for a new job or home, hope for a lasting relationship or enough money to pay the bills with a little left over each month. But then there are the children, who experience the same emotions and stuggles as an adult, but they do it in silence.SOFFY Ministires has always done specific outreaches for the holidays such as Adopt-A-Family or Adopt-A-Church through the S.O.W. and SOFFY Angel programs. But God was leading us to stretch our faith in a new direction, geared for the needs of the hurting children.

It was in 2004 at the most difficult time when we were moving the entire ministry to another state, that God gave me Christmas H.O.P.E. - Heaven's Own P romised Emmanual.

Since then Christmas H.O.P.E. has grown every year reaching thousands of children at Christmas time with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

God has a message for you. He has planned a good life for His children.

His plans include HOPE for a future.

This is our message - this is our H.O.P.E.

We began with what we called the Christmas H.O.P.E Project Africa in 2004 where we were able to give Christian materials to those in ministry that did not have resources to teach their own congregations or students.

Sending Bibles overseas was quite costly and took up most of the budget for the project. So we looked for ways to be able to continue the outreach by partnering with ministries who could get the BIbles in parts of Africa so we would not have the great expense of shipping and handling.

Bibles are still given through SOF Living Legacy Bible Foundation in greater number now, but this didn't solve what we were to do with Christmas H.O.P.E.

It was the following year that we began distributing ministry materials at parades and other evangelistic functions with the SOFFY Pets, and it was here the Lord showed us that Christmas H.O.P.E must come to the children.

As the outreach grew, so did the awareness of the program. It has now extended into the schools and head-start kinds of programs where we can reach children from the ages of 2-18 through day care and after school programs.

But Christmas H.O.P.E has gone even farther! With each gift pack a child receives, there is a Faith Moments Daily Devotional and letter to the parent /guardian giving hope also to the adults in the child's life.
