Yep, I got one of these a while back. It was mandatory installed; the customers had no say in the matter. So far, haven't been hacked.

I have shown you how to get out of it. It is not MANDATORY. If they come to your door, just say, NO.

      Then, the fun begins.

I've had a smart meter for a couple of years now and am delighted with it.

I used to have to balance precariously on a chair, stand on tiptoe, hold my phone as high as possible over my head to take a photo of the reading on my electricity meter. Then I had to lie flat on my stomach on the floor and shine a torch into a small cupboard behind an armchair to read my gas meter.

I used to feel sick whenever the email came telling me readings were required.

I'll take a hypothetical risk over the horrendous inconvenience and true risk of falling I went through before I had a smart meter.

I'm not going to change my meter either, but I think OLY is right. That first video is a real eye-opener and I highly recommend it.

What a world we live in. Our cars rat us out on where we go and how we drove on our way there. Now our houses report on when we are home and everything we do when we are there. And all of that recorded information is available to any government or corporate entity that wants it.

Well, What can I say. This is all I have been hearing on the, Air Waves.

I checked into it. It is up to you as to what you do.

I put out the information, you be your own boss.

I will NOT, NOT, get one.

      That is just me.

You by chance wouldn't be a, CONTORTIONEST, would you, LOL.

It is mandatory in some areas with single providers, unless you decide to go off the grid.
