Considering the lives of some presidents, do you think we need presidents at all?
Well I think we do. Otherwise noone could represent our country or us to other nations. Question about there life is very large area. If you referring on security it's normal, it's number one person in the state, country or republic. Money they earn wile presidency isn't so high, more they got from lobbying and such. To be easy for understand, it's institutions not a man who makes president. Every democratic country of the word have one. Every President have its bugged, its unique fond or fonds given from the state. Mostly they spend that on the rewards of any kind and to the donations for schools, hospitals and similar. But somthing it's bether without them, when they make bad decisions.
We must always have a central figure who stands as the ultimate authority when the debate gets too heated. A true president attempts to lead us aways from these confrontations and provides the leadership necessary to seek the compromises which must be made to achieve the goal. That is what leadership entails. Given that premise, we must send people to this high office who are capable of bringing about efforts in which the majority moves in one direction. Any idiot can divide and isolate people into individual groups. A true leader brings those people together and helps them to celebrate their commonality as Americans. Our problems in America today stem from the fact that we are not sending true leaders to the high offices of America. WB
Before these presidents had lives as presidents, they had lives as people. They really are just people. People sin, make mistakes, have regrets, are loved, and are admired. No matter what kind of life a president lived before his or her presidency, imperfection will always remain.
It doesn't belong to man to direct his own step, as it reads in the Bible. If we are waiting for a man or woman to rescue us from ourselves then we must not hold our breath.

I was thinking about this from a historian's perspective (I have an M.A. in History). My first caveat about this question is that, as a historian, I think it's misguided to try to evaluate president's while they're still in their presidency. It takes perspective and time to provide a proper...

Obama is a fool. The man has absolutely no leadership ability, he is in way over his head, ISIS is cleaning his clock, Putin is treating him like a bitch, the Iranians are ripping him off, he didn't even have the common sense to come down hard on the rioters in Ferguson and Baltimore, he allowed...

Obama and his leftist ideology, coupled by sheer incompetence has come back to haunt/daunt him and bite him in so many places, that people are wondering if his Presidency would ever recover from the myriad scandals that has plagued his second term, from Benghazi to the IRS to the...

Who is your favorite U.S. President?Even though we tend to complain and not always agree with a U.S. President, chances are we all have at least one favorite...who is yours? Mine would be JFK, even though I was only 5 months old when he was assassinated, I still feel a bond with him. John F....

If we have a new administration in November, will it really make a difference?Every four years, we look for new changes, a new breath of fresh air, and new hope. Do you think that it will happen if we have a new administration?
