Why Are American Building there own Prisons, financially, Politically and socially?
With the Current state of the American Economy, and politically with our government not following its own laws and more. Why are the american people just continuing to help build there own prisons? When will enough be enough, when predator drones are bombing american Cities and the government claim Libya did it, or when the financial crisis hit record highs and literally everyone will be fighting over a bottle of water. When is enough, enough?
Americans have been lulled to sleep for so long now that there are few of us awake. There ARE signs that more and more of us are becoming aware of exactly what is happening here.
I'm British and have lived in the USA for almost 5 years now, and I can honestly say that I've never met a more easily-corrupted nation of people. I don't mean that offensively, because in general, many Americans are completely unaware of how they're being brainwashed from an early age (schooling), and that has become evident to me over a period of time.
Look at the soldiers who will stand there with their hand over their heart, aggressively stating how "great" America is, and how much they love their country, regardless of the fact that they've been let down and sent to their deaths by their own government, fighting for something that none of us wanted a part in in the first place.
Or how people are still citing a ludicrous old saying - "Land of the free, home of the brave". That hasn't been true for a very, very long time, but people continue to say it and believe it, and why? Because in schools over here, it's drummed into you to be patriotic, to respect the government, etc.
Not that that's a bad thing of course, but the problem arises when there is nothing left to be patriotic about, and the government let the people down - and those people continue to be drones.
As for financial crisis, I'm surprised the US has lasted this long without a catastrophe. America is all for the rich, screw the poor and the working class.
If you are rich, then the world is your oyster.
If you work a low paid job, have a family to support, and can't afford a place to live, or healthcare, you're doomed.
And no one will be there to help, because they're too busy beating their chests, citing their ridiculous 'Rights', and not noticing that they're being viewed as poster boards for all that is wrong in America today.
Blame the rich for caring solely about themselves and wanting segregation from the rest of us, blame the schools for brainwashing kids into thinking all is "A-OK!" in their "wonderful" country, and blame the government for ever allowing private healthcare.

Hoopla. Most of the people these days are trying so hard to be politically correct and refused to call a person who entered the United States illegally an "Illegal Alien" for fear of being branded as "racist". For me, if you're illegal, you are illegal. No sugar coating, no...

Until 1989, there were only a few school shootings in which more than two victims were killed. This was despite widespread ownership of — and familiarity with — weapons and an absence of “gun-free zones.” Many rural areas had a long tradition of high-school students going hunting in...
