Which conspiracy theory do believe is in fact true?
For example: The Illuminati,Ace of spades,911 being a planned attack done by the American government,JFK assassination,The suppression of technological and medical inventions such as the water powered car, alternative energy sources and the cure for medical conditions such as cancer as well as spinal bone regrowth.
I have not yet had the opportunity of judging any of them objectively, since the truth of a theory can only be demonstrated after it has been proved. However, once proved in practice, a theory is often no longer valid as such. It is highly problematic to attempt to prove something that has already been demonstrated - except probably in Euclidian Theorems, when QED would apply.
For that reason I can, for the time being, only accept the fiction of 'The Pelican Brief' (Denzel Washington) and 'Conspiracy Theory' (Mel Gibson) - the cast are so experienced, and Julia Roberts makes an appearance in both.
For me, the Report of the Warren Commission, the continuing saga of the Grassy Knoll, the Last Days of Marilyn Monroe, and the staging of the Moon Landings are too much like well written film-scripts.
When the word that Osama Bin Laden was killed I was playing an online video game. Within minutes of the news I read about three different conspiracy theories about his death on online chat. The people proposing these theories had no evidence or inside information or even real logic for these theories but they believed them completely before the facts of the situation were even known. This is why I don't believe this kind of stuff.
The first objection I usually get is that I am obviously wrong because there are real conspiracies. This is a straw man. I am not saying that real conspiracies do not exist. Watergate was a conspiracy. The 9/11 attacks were a terrorist conspiracy. There are hundreds of conspiracies throughout history. The reason we know this is because there is evidence for all these conspiracies and they were all exposed, even though all of them are much smaller than most conspiracy theories.
Three can keep a secret if two of them are dead. If a conspiracy theory involves more than a dozen people, has national or global implications and has no empirical evidence that can not be debunked to back it up, then it is safe to say that it is false.
That said there is corruption that everybody knows about, such as how our politicians are bought and how the war on drugs is supported by pharmaceutical companies and organized crime. But everybody knows about these things. They just don't care that much. They aren't exciting and sexy enough and that is why people make up ludicrous conspiracy theories.
I believe that the U.N.'s World Health Organization touched off the AIDS epidemic, largely for the purpose of reducing the size of the population of Sub-Saharan Africa to what could be described as a manageable level.
And I also believe that all of the other groups that have been affected by the epidemic are merely "collateral damage."

There are so many conspiracy theories out there, from ones that sound spot on to inter-dimensional alien human hybrid shape shifters (I keep expecting to see the pope turn into a lizard man). What conspiracy theories do you believe are true or very likely to be true? Are there some you don't believe...

Why do conspiracy theories get ignored, even if bullet point proof is presented?

I've heard it all a thousand times and more. The this, the that, the whatever, the evil organizations. In fact, just moments ago I received a comment on how FB was invented by the CIA, isn't that crazy? I know some of you do believe this stuff and I don't mean to offend, I know there is conspiracy...
