Definitely India is heir to a very rich and glorious past. But just see how we are today? Do our politicians take pride in keeping India as it is even after taking hefty salaries and perks which match well with the rich countries like U.S. and Japan?
I would recommend not thinking that your nation is the only nation with a glorious past when there are many other nations, with rich histories. I would look towards preserving the historic and looking at ways to building a glorious future. Each generation adds to that beauty.
