Should we be more aggressive towards North Korea?

I think that my children are not safe. Our government seems like they're still playing the North Koreans off. I know the implications of this potential war. Threats are not to be taken lightly in this situation.

This is a "game" that they have been playing for years to try and get the world's attention to relieve the stringent embargo's on their country for this type of behavior. They claim they have military muscle, all the while their people are so impoverished and are starving to death. They are grasping at straws to gain respect. Where there is none to be given.

I am aware of their countries conditions, but I never underestimate an opponent. We only see what they allow us to see.

The US military has 30,000+ Soldiers in South Korea. We have a troops in Okinawa, Guam and Hawaii permanently stationed there. The USAF has air defenses and anti-missile battery set up. The Army and Marines run mountain warfare training for troops to prep for mountain terrain and cold weather (ie; Afghanistan and Korea). In addition, you have Naval Fleet forward deployed in the Pacific with Sailors and Marines. In addition, you have Airborne Soldiers who can receive their orders and drop into country within a few days. Oh, we are still technically at war too. The US gov't and military knows this. We let N. Korea do their move- we do not need to be more aggressive. Just cut aid. They are just pissed because we don't send them aid.
