Do you believe it is your responsibility to provide general welfare to everyone regardless of their

personal choices? Many socialist governments state that they will provide for everyone through cooperative ownership and management. However, these same governments create a small wealthy class and a large poor class in their country. Do you believe that this type of government is the best way to support freedom? Do you believe that this supports the equality you desire?

It is my responsibility to help as much as I can for as many as I can without hurting my family. EVERYONE makes a poor choice at some point. That doesn't make them or me leas human. In an ideal situation those able to help themselves would contribute as much as they can and those more fortunate would fill in on their own and help. When government has to force people to help the needy it says much more negative about those being forced than the government. The fortunate should volunteer their extra time and money and those on the receiving end should volunteer their time to help balance things out. With that said there should be requirements to receive any assistance. Drug and alcohol testing, required to show either intention to get stable or disability causing the issue. Nothing is free. When we help others it should be because we want to. Sadly people are greedy. If they weren't the government wouldn't need to ever be involved.
