Which should come first, meaning or money?
Should I go for money and give up on life's purpose or should I give up everything for what I believe is my purpose in life? Is there a compromise between the 2?
You need both. Follow your purpose in life, but also go for money. I don't mean be greedy and try to get rich just so you can have a nice house and a nice car. Go for money so you can support your family, help the poor, and other good things. Helping others is part of your purpose in life.
Go for your life's purpose buddy if you know what it is, & never do anything for the sake of the money..Going for your life's purpose is the harder option than the big money option, because hardly anybody does it & they all turn into money obsessing egoic mind led "consumers"!lol..Going for your life's purpose means your building a real person, who follows his love/purpose not the money..So be one in 1000 (maybe even 1 in 100000), & you won't look back..I guarantee you will end up being one of the best at your particular life's purpose, & then if you want it, which you won't, the big money will follow..It has to follow because your one of the best at what ever it is, because it's your life's purpose. :-)
This say's it all buddy so good luck with which ever you choose, i say life is obviously for learning & to build real people who know who they are..
This is great answer Daveadam. Thanks for sharing. ☺
Both are equally needed. Meaning brings fulfillment in our lives while money addresses our basic needs for food, house and clothing.
We need money for providing a comfortable life to our loved ones. Giving up everything to chase life's purpose is not really an option. Poverty can create enough hindrance to us chasing our dreams.
At the same time, chasing money should not become our life's purpose. We need to balance both. So, earn enough money to fulfill the basic necessities and then spend the remaining time to pursue your dreams.

The atheists agnostics skeptics apatheists; all while away their lives; finding no purpose in life and no goal in life, their actions become meaningless and their thoughts get frustrated.

Does life have a purpose? How do we find our purpose in life? How to live a meaningful life? Is lack of meaning in life the same as depression?

For an atheist, what is the meaning/purpose of man's existence? This question is intended for me to know what really makes an atheist. Maybe, by this question, I can understand more an atheist and see where they are coming.

Have you ever asked yourself what your purpose in life was? If so, what was the answer? A friend posted an article about this. Basically the article said this was THE most important question to ask. And of course, the answer changes over time. What is the answer for you right now?
