If we elect a female president, will she have to work for  less salary than a former male president?

We may have a female nominee for president of the USA in 2016. As I understand it, the republican party would not pass a bill providing female employees equal pay for equal work as they're male counterparts. Therefore, a female president should work for a lower salary than a male. This doesn't seem fair in my mind. What are your thoughts on this subject?

Generally, policies and rules will not be applicable for the persons perpetuating it! Hence, it is quite likely that the female president will get all money and perks that a male counterpart gets.

What an insightful question.  The White House is the ultimate bully pulpit.  I'd hope she would use it to address this issue.  If it is Hillary Clinton, I'm not worried about her settling for less than any previous president.  I'd hope anyone who gets that far politically would be capable of fighting her own battles.
