   Is a Miami police union incorrect in blaming Beyoncé's superbowl show for officer shootings?
   
   Is she to blame and if so how? My personal opinion is no but I would like to hear other opinions about a Miami police union blaming her "anti-police" performance at the superbowl as the reason for officer shootings.

   First and formost the NFL should have had local talent do half time. Carlos Santana would have rocked it.  But that said, where was the diversity in her presentation?   How many police officers have died in the last 6 months?   If she views the police so poorly why did she allow 100 of them to escort her to the statium? She may not have directly contributed, but she didn't help matters.  -Sorry for the rant, but the NFL made a lot of people here in the bay area angry.

      I agree, I love Carlos Santana! I don't really like Beyoncé but I don't see it as an anti-police performance. I HATED her "outfit" but could see she was speaking her life experiences & observations. That's not anti-police, that's life.

   I don't think so.  Usually the police volunteer to escort singers like Beyonce for extra pay.  So if they don't volunteer, they really aren't in violation of their job.  It's extra hours and pay.  I actually like that they are making a stand.  Why doesn't Beyonce call the Black Panthers or the Black Lives Matter group to escort her to her concert instead?

      It's likely that those groups have no security or weapons training. However, if she was anti-police her label or she would have paid for private security. Having police escort her anywhere shows me that she's not anti-police.

   Regardless of who is to blame, her actions in he Halftime show were simply embarrassing and she'll likely feel the sting of it for the rest of her career
