Against. I don't want to wonder if the doctors will deny the highest level of care for me because they are thinking of the half dozen lives my organs might save
Pro. A vast majority of people support organ donation and yet a very low percentage of people are actually registered.
If there was an automatic donation registration then there would of course be an opt-out option for those who feel strongly against it for whatever reason. That way those who aren't bothered either way or don't remember to register/don't know how are helping someone else by default instead of a wasted opportunity.
There could be some difficulty for religious people whose religion mandates they be burried before sundown of the day they die, or people who believe in reincarnation and the body must be intact.
Then there is the health issue. You don't want to transplant heart/lung from someone who has cancer that is in remission.
