   Because being a white person in the west is typically not a disadvantage.
   
   It’s sort of like if someone with diabetes were to try to draw attention to the ways in which it negatively affects their life and how they can try to improve things while living with it, and someone else comes along and interrupts to say “but it’s good to not have diabetes too!” Totally irrelevant, kind of just a given, and takes away from what the person with the actual problem is trying to say.

      From where I'm from, I don't think being black means they have any less opportunity than we do. In fact, if anything due to them being the minority, apparently, they have more. Why is it wrong to be proud of being white? Double standard.

      There’s literally no such thing as “white heritage.” No one will bat an eye if you say you’re proud to be Scottish or French or whatever. A lot of history was lost thanks to slavery and many black ppl have no choice but to identify w/ skin colour.

   Wow. You need to find something else to do. Take your liberal thinking elsewhere. White people weren't the only ones who had black slaves, and if everyone is running around thinking like you, pretty much stating white people don't matter, it's no wonder there's a rise in white people fighting back. Read my article on Annoying people, I'm pretty sure you fit in the know-it-all category.

      I’m white, my daughter is white, my family is white...of course I think they matter. This is about nuances, not extremes.

   Because of liberal discrimination against whites is broad, systemic and moral in their worldview. Daring to say "It is OK to be X" is a repudiation of "go to the back of the bus, go away altogether" liberal view.
