Fate Of India's Sports

Updated on August 20, 2016

*This article focusses Indians as the target audience.

The medals won by Sindhu or Saina Nehwal or Jwala Gutta or Srikanth is mainly because of the platform created by Gopichand(Gopichand Academy, Hyderabad). He has dedicated his life to that sport and even spent his fortune in building the academy.
How many would do something like that? Without him, we will not be even hearing about RIO.

We need more people like him, but logically nobody would risk their lives by spending on that. This is the main reason, Government should take a stand and attract people towards sports too.
For that, I agree that people need to support and encourage by spending money for conducting competitions to discover the talent. If Government could encourage these events(as they do for Kumbhamela and Pushkara), it would be awesome for the future of sports in India..!
