Selling Weed Continued
Selling Weed Continued is the continuation in a series of hubs in which I discuss my life of rebellion, dabbling in the Occult, drugs, crime and prison to life-changing conversion through Jesus Christ.Click here to read it from the beginning. In this hub, I will discuss more experiences that I had selling weed.
Discontentment
I was making some money from dealing marijuana, but I wasn’t content. I wanted to see a greater profit margin. I looked around for dealers who could sell me bulk amounts at a discount. It was only a matter of time before I made some connections. I was able to save enough money from my dealing to start purchasing pounds of weed for between $3,200 to $4,400 (depending on quality).
My profits greatly increased, and I was able to start selling people ounces, quarter pounds, half pounds and pounds; although, I still kept my customers who bought less. I didn’t want to pass up a deal. I just made that much more money on them. However, my business wasn’t always fine and dandy. I had some setbacks.
Trust No Man
You never know who you can trust, even in the weed business. For example, there was a time when I entrusted someone with $3,500 in advance for a pound of weed. After I picked it up, the quality turned out to be really bad. That hurt my reputation. However, it was not a complete loss because there was a drought in my city and no one had any good weed at the time. I wised up after that. Whenever I received low grade cannabis, I mixed it with high grade cannabis to stretch it.
Once, I bought a pound of weed from someone in two half pound bags. They both looked the alike; and the one I inspected was a good grade of pot. However, after getting home and opening the other bag, I realized that it was much lower in quality; it just looked identical. I didn’t let that hinder me, though. I just mixed the low quality pot together with the high quality pot at a rate of about one-quarter low quality bud with three-quarters high quality bud. I would break some of the buds up from both strains in the bottom of the bag and no one even noticed a difference.
Therefore, whenever I bought a pound of cannabis that turned out to be below my expectations, I would just buy another pound of higher quality cannabis and mix them together. Then I would buy another, and another, until I got rid of my low quality bud. That way I didn’t have to compromise my rates. Some people might be mad at me after reading this, but oh well. Welcome to the world of drug dealing!
I knew this guy who claimed that he had a good connection in the cannabis club and said that he could get me some really good bud for a low price. However, there was a catch: he needed the money in advance: $3,200. I didn’t trust him, so I told him that I needed the pink slip for his friends Infiniti Q45 as collateral. The car was worth something like $7,000. They agreed. However, when he came back with the weed a day of so later, it was bammer!
It was that really low quality Mexican dirt weed. It was compressed, brown, and had seeds and stems in it. There was about a pound-and-a-half to two pounds there; but still, that was worth only like $700. I said, “No way!” I told them that if they didn’t have my money within two days, I was selling their car. They called me back two days later and said they had it. I came over and they paid me. They told me that they had to sell that weed and some computer equipment to get my money. I said that wasn’t my problem.
There was a time when I bought a pound of pot and it wasn't completely dry yet. That was disappointing, because when it dried it lost about a quarter of its weight. There was no coming back from that; it was a complete loss.
Killer Weed
Another time, someone stole a pound of weed from me. It was at a house where I stashed my bud. When no one was home, they kicked in the door and ransacked the place. I had my weed, a digital scale, and a couple hundred dollars in a small safe. They took the safe! That’s what I get for not bolting it to the ground.
That led to some violence: people getting hurt and shootings; but I won’t elaborate on that. I even got shot at myself. Someone pulled a drive-by shooting on me! That's the same shooting I mentioned in my hub entitled, Delivered from Death.
One of the guys I suspected of stealing my weed was shot and killed by the police in a marijuana raid later on. I heard about it when I was in county jail. They busted his door down, stormed into his room and caught him sleeping in bed. They said that he awoke and reached for a gun; so they blew him away with a 12 gauge shotgun.
Selling cannabis was a lucrative business, at times. But in the long run, it was not worth it. There was practically no one I could trust. I was disappointed and stressed out way too many times. I even got ripped off and shot at; and my life was in constant danger.
Before my cannabis selling days came to an end, I was buying 3 pounds of weed at a time for about $9,000. It came in five gallon paint buckets. The buckets were sealed tight and packed full of bud. At the same time I was dealing in pot, I made some inroads in the crystal meth and cocaine trade. I’ll talk more about that in my next hub. Click on the link below to read it.
