Selling Weed Continued

Selling Weed Continued is the continuation in a series of hubs in which I discuss my life of rebellion, dabbling in the Occult, drugs, crime and prison to life-changing conversion through Jesus Christ.Click here to read it from the beginning. In this hub, I will discuss more experiences that I had selling weed.

I was making some money from dealing marijuana, but I wasn’t content. I wanted to see a greater profit margin. I looked around for dealers who could sell me bulk amounts at a discount. It was only a matter of time before I made some connections. I was able to save enough money from my dealing to start purchasing pounds of weed for between $3,200 to $4,400 (depending on quality).

My profits greatly increased, and I was able to start selling people ounces, quarter pounds, half pounds and pounds; although, I still kept my customers who bought less. I didn’t want to pass up a deal. I just made that much more money on them. However, my business wasn’t always fine and dandy. I had some setbacks.

Trust No Man

You never know who you can trust, even in the weed business. For example, there was a time when I entrusted someone with $3,500 in advance for a pound of weed. After I picked it up, the quality turned out to be really bad. That hurt my reputation. However, it was not a complete loss because there was a drought in my city and no one had any good weed at the time. I wised up after that. Whenever I received low grade cannabis, I mixed it with high grade cannabis to stretch it.

Once, I bought a pound of weed from someone in two half pound bags. They both looked the alike; and the one I inspected was a good grade of pot. However, after getting home and opening the other bag, I realized that it was much lower in quality; it just looked identical. I didn’t let that hinder me, though. I just mixed the low quality pot together with the high quality pot at a rate of about one-quarter low quality bud with three-quarters high quality bud. I would break some of the buds up from both strains in the bottom of the bag and no one even noticed a difference.

Therefore, whenever I bought a pound of cannabis that turned out to be below my expectations, I would just buy another pound of higher quality cannabis and mix them together. Then I would buy another, and another, until I got rid of my low quality bud. That way I didn’t have to compromise my rates. Some people might be mad at me after reading this, but oh well. Welcome to the world of drug dealing!

I knew this guy who claimed that he had a good connection in the cannabis club and said that he could get me some really good bud for a low price. However, there was a catch: he needed the money in advance: $3,200. I didn’t trust him, so I told him that I needed the pink slip for his friends Infiniti Q45 as collateral. The car was worth something like $7,000. They agreed. However, when he came back with the weed a day of so later, it was bammer!

It was that really low quality Mexican dirt weed. It was compressed, brown, and had seeds and stems in it. There was about a pound-and-a-half to two pounds there; but still, that was worth only like $700. I said, “No way!” I told them that if they didn’t have my money within two days, I was selling their car. They called me back two days later and said they had it. I came over and they paid me. They told me that they had to sell that weed and some computer equipment to get my money. I said that wasn’t my problem.

There was a time when I bought a pound of pot and it wasn't completely dry yet. That was disappointing, because when it dried it lost about a quarter of its weight. There was no coming back from that; it was a complete loss.

Killer Weed

Another time, someone stole a pound of weed from me. It was at a house where I stashed my bud. When no one was home, they kicked in the door and ransacked the place. I had my weed, a digital scale, and a couple hundred dollars in a small safe. They took the safe! That’s what I get for not bolting it to the ground.

That led to some violence: people getting hurt and shootings; but I won’t elaborate on that. I even got shot at myself. Someone pulled a drive-by shooting on me! That's the same shooting I mentioned in my hub entitled, Delivered from Death.

One of the guys I suspected of stealing my weed was shot and killed by the police in a marijuana raid later on. I heard about it when I was in county jail. They busted his door down, stormed into his room and caught him sleeping in bed. They said that he awoke and reached for a gun; so they blew him away with a 12 gauge shotgun.

Selling cannabis was a lucrative business, at times. But in the long run, it was not worth it. There was practically no one I could trust. I was disappointed and stressed out way too many times. I even got ripped off and shot at; and my life was in constant danger.

Before my cannabis selling days came to an end, I was buying 3 pounds of weed at a time for about $9,000. It came in five gallon paint buckets. The buckets were sealed tight and packed full of bud. At the same time I was dealing in pot, I made some inroads in the crystal meth and cocaine trade. I’ll talk more about that in my next hub. Click on the link below to read it.

I see you check your site regularly; that's a relief. Thanks for getting back to me and also for the advice. That's a helpful idea, but, with Texas being a red state, I'm sure it'll be years before I can do anything legally. Moving to New Mexico isn't an option for me.

I guess I just feel (and as I said before, perhaps naively so) like there have to be at least a decnt percentage of people out there selling weed that aren't necessarily bad people.

Chance - It's not worth it, my brother. There is no honor among criminals. Believe me, I know. I was a criminal. I wouldn't encourage anyone to get involved in illegal marijuana distribution. If you want to get into the weed business, do it the legal way. Obtain a license to grow and sell to Cannabis dispenseries which provide marijuana for medical purposes. It is a very profititable business. However, I can not advise you on how to go about that. You will have to figure that out on your own.

You seem to me to be very knowledgeable about what can happen when dealing marijuana.. I feel like you are someone I can ask many questions.. I hope you are still replying to posts on this site. I'll keep checking up to see if you have.

My name is Chance and I live in a small town in Texas. I'm eighteen and hopefully just about to start my life, as i don't come from a family of abundant financial means. I'm giving very serious thought to the notion of eventually selling weed at the level you once did. Maybe not multiple pounds, but enough to start saving money for the future. A pound at a time? Who knows, I can't say for sure.

You say that selling weed was not worth it..

..Is it naïve for me to think that I could do this on my terms and my terms only? Both buy and sell only from and to people that have a level head on their shoulders? Good people. People who know what business means that business is always business. So that I don't end up in the situation you ended up in? Paying an advance on weed that ended up not being what the people or person you bought it from said or you believed it would be? What were the people you bought from like? What were or are (no offense intended, I'm just trying to be thorough) you like?

I Hope You Get Back To Me,

Rayne123 - I tend to agree with you about jail saving me, in a sense. Drama on the street was getting deep; and if it wasn't for prison, I may have ended up dead.

You know the very reason you happen to be in jail at the time of the shooting, was meant to be.

God wanted you there so you were not in the midst of the shooting.

I know a story very familiar to this with friends from years and years ago.

God sometimes put us where he knows we will avoid the storm.

Reminds me of a story, however I wont get into it as it was very many years ago and the people involved are passed.

First of all drug business is the worst thing for trusting people. For drugs they will kill, even their family or your family. Once you're in a drug gang you can't get out. Its sort of like that with bikers.

This I know as I worked with a biker and well he was the nice one, on the lower end of this all. (long story) however he is married with beautiful children. The last time I seen of him anyway.

I do know he is not to be messed with.

Actually he probably is in his later 50's now and pretty much out of that.

I also know that when it comes to sex/money/greed/fame you really can't trust anyone, they are out there for all that mentioned.

God sends strong delusions so he knows who to condemn. He knows who is truth.

      Second of all, its like

Thanks for the positive feedback. Marijuana actually used to be legal, until about 1941. Then a misinformation campaign was launched against it and it was made illegal.

Very interesting hub X-Con. I have a similar story. Just no shootings involved. I really think they should legalize weed. I can't think of 1 practical reason not to. Medicinal pot has been legalized in several states, and many people have turned that opportunity into lucrative businesses.

If they did that here in Ohio, I could stop doing internet marketing and start a business making pot cookies or something :)

You sound like a very interesting hubber, I'm going to follow you. Hopefully, everything is going well for you now.
