Should there be war? Well, some might think it's a bad thing for us and the country. However, it brings benefits to our country.

George Washington once said, “To be prepared for war is one of the most effective means of preserving peace.” War is a good thing because it benefits our country and because it is a great opportunity for young people to obtain some skill or training. War keeps us safe and also protects us from other countries' threats. I think that war should exist because war is a driver of techonlogy and … Some examples like canned food, microwave ovens, and even the internet were in a quest to gain an edge in war.

“The nature of war

is constant change.”

First of all, wars should be possible because now they fight for ideological reasons. Research shows that this is supported by the political scientist Benjamin Ginsberg in a well-documented study of the benefits that wartime brings to civilization." War promotes characteristics of societies that are considered progress, like rationality, technological and economic evolution, and liberal form of government." War can reduce harm by suppressing the mistreatment of groups of people. During World War II, allies prevented operations against Jews, homosexuals, the mentally disabled, and many others. War can also cause economic growth.

Furthermore, wars also protect national enterprises from major competition, increase demand for domestic manufacturing, organize the growth of local trade, renew trade debts, and punish nations for immoral economic policies. It can bring people together and create unions that would never otherwise exist. "Peace is peaceful and clear, but it can also be burdensome and tedious. It is separation from conflict, but it can also be a paralysis of progress." War can lead to positive changes, such as women's right to vote and to work. In World War I and II, women took over the jobs that men left behind, and after the war ended, many started businesses for greater rights.

Some believe that war is very destructive, that fighting and bombing destroy cities, towns, bridges, and railways. They also believe that war takes a heavy toll on military and civilian lives. Poverty for food, fuel, and many other things will only get worse after the war ends. That might be true, but the conflict that war brings may lead to the re-creation of strong central governments that centralize the use of force. The shock of war can devastate civic life. We all feel moral or social obligations to be liberal with unknown people, as do some physiological tests performed in many different cultures. This supportive attitude almost certainly contributed to the survival of our ancestors. We are more powerful when we are in groups than when we are alone. If war makes us friendlier to our neighbors, it has not made us more trusting of strangers.

Overall, war should be considered a good thing for our country. War brings many good things to improve our country and make it more powerful. Nations with economic dominance in peacetime often have a huge advantage in wartime. Finally, war and the threat of war have led governments to be more tolerant of the needs of their citizens because of the government’s submission to the full assistance of their citizens during the war.
