True African-American Christians will not vote for Barack Obama
Dr. Martin Luther King's speech "I have a Dream"
Martin Luther King have Different Christian Values from Barack Obama
On the night of the 45th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s famous speech "I Have a Dream" Senator Barack Obama gave his acceptance speech at the Democratic convention in Denver, Colorado. Many Democrats thought about Dr. King's vision was fulfilled on that historic night. However, not all African Americans agree. "Barack Obama is directly contrary to many positions and beliefs of Martin Luther King, Jr.," says black author William Owens, Jr. "Obama is trying to make African-Americans believe he is the reality of the Dream come true, but he's not. It's a nightmare."
A recent Gallup poll reveals 91 percent of African-Americans intend to vote for Obama. Nevertheless, there are dissenting voices trying to reach their community with a warning about the candidate. Dr. Alveda King, daughter of MLK's younger brother, the late slain civil rights activist Rev. A.D. King, says, "Senator Obama's answer to the ills of society, of higher government spending, weaker national defense, continued tax dollars to Planned Parenthood, and support of gay marriage, are diametrically opposed to everything African Americans truly believe and an anathema to the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr."
"It is high time for Black America, White America and all America to stop making their ethnicity such a big deal that we become zealous for our color over being zealous for what is right and what is truth," says Owens.
Mr. Owens, founder of Black Americans for Real Change (BARC), makes it known, "I will not remain silent out of fear of repercussions because it is politically incorrect for Blacks to challenge Blacks." He says one aspect of Obama's candidacy is "intimidation because many people are afraid to scrutinize Obama and speak out because of the race issue." Owens believes Obama is manipulative of African Americans because "in reality he is not a Black American. His heritage is Muslim -- not African American" and calls Obama a pretender and panderer. He points out that the candidate's record "does not remotely parallel the values, traditions and struggles of Black America."
Having studied both MLK and Obama, Owens felt compelled to write a book to challenge African Americans "to look deeper at Barack Obama the man, his voting record, and his position on the important issues facing our country." He urges them not to "put your race before your principles," the truth, your family and your own country. His book, "Obama: Why Black America Should Have Doubts" has one chapter comparing the policies of the two men who are poles apart on many issues. Every American should read this eye-opening book. Owens says, "it is obvious Obama is trying to solidify the Black vote", but he reiterates that any candidate needs to be closely examined.
With Obama's voiced support and voting record for partial-birth abortion and every other pro-abortion bill, Alveda King takes issue with the senator over this topic. From firsthand experience she had before she was "born again" in 1983, King knows the problems a woman can suffer because of abortion. She is now a leader in both the pro-life and civil rights movements. "We can talk about poverty; we can talk about the war; we can talk about teen pregnancy; we can talk about incarceration. However, if we're not allowed to live, we'll never encounter those issues." Although Blacks make up only 14 percent of the population, 40 percent of the abortions in the country are preformed on Black women, thus creating a virtual genocide of African Americans.
King recalls her Uncle Martin saying, "The Negro cannot win as long as he is willing to sacrifice the lives of his children for comfort and safety." For Alveda King, abortion is a civil rights issue. "Every aborted baby is like a slave in the womb of his or her mother," she explains. "The mother decides his or her fate."
"In the shadow of the famous ‘I Have a Dream' speech by my uncle in 1963, as Barack Obama makes his speech in 2008, how can the Dream survive if we murder the children?" asks Dr. King concerning the unborn. "Life was very precious to my uncle and life today is precious."
"Our best interests as Black Americans," Owens says, "...lie in a new direction that reflects our core beliefs and values, not merely a resemblance of someone we look like."
Again quoting her uncle, King says, "‘there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it because it is right.'" She passionately adds, "This is not the time to be silent; this is not the time to give Barack Obama a free pass! There is too much at stake."
Barack Obama's Bad Moral Position on Abortion and Same-Sex Marriage Destroys African-Americans in America
Here are some shocking statistics about African-Americans. Even though they make up roughly 13% of the American population yet 33% of all abortions are performed on African-American women. That is, one out of every three women having an abortion is an African-American. Do these facts not alarm a Christian? It is the devil's plan to eradicate African-Americans in America. Planned Parenthood, the leading provider of abortion services in our nation specifically targets urban areas with a higher percentage of African Americans. This may seem a bit conspiracy theorist, but the following quotes from Planned Parenthood's founder Margaret Sanger reveal what their true purpose was to be.
On blacks, immigrants and indigents: "...human weeds,' 'reckless breeders,' 'spawning... human beings who never should have been born." Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization, referring to immigrants and poor people
On the purpose of birth control: The purpose in promoting birth control was "to create a race of thoroughbreds," she wrote in the Birth Control Review, Nov. 1921 (p. 2)
While he was in the Illinois State Senate, Barack Obama toed Planned Parenthood's line and voted according to their strategy on proposed abortion measures.
In a July 17th, 2007 speech to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund (the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America), Sen. Barack Obama said that he would "not yield" on the issue of a woman's right to have an abortion. He "attacked the Supreme Court decision that upheld the federal partial-birth abortion ban and the nomination of Supreme Court justices who favor overturning Roe v. Wade," reports the Catholic News Service.
On the extermination of blacks: "We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population," she said, "if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." Woman's Body, Woman's Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America, by Linda Gordon
Someone might argue that the viewpoints of Planned Parenthood have changed over the years, but their actions say their views remain steadfast and unchanged. What does all of this have to do with Senator Barack Obama as a presidential candidate? Plenty if you look at his voting record.
Voted against banning partial birth abortion. (Oct 2007)
Voted NO on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions. (Jul 2006)
Voted YES on $100M to reduce teen pregnancy by education & contraceptives. (Mar 2005)
Barack Obama plainly supports abortion, even though it is the leading cause of death among African-Americans more the heart disease more than Aids, more than violent crime. Abortion is a targeted measure to wipe out African-Americans in America. Obama's stance on abortion alone should be enough to discourage any christian from voting for him but let's look at his voting record concerning the marriage amendment, which would define and protect marriage as a union between one man and one woman.
Vote 163: On the Cloture Motion: A Senate cloture vote on the gay marriage amendment failed, effectively killing the amendment. Voted NO
Barack Obama supports the union of same sex marriages, while Christians shouldn't persecute people based on their sexual orientation, homosexuality is a sin, and endorsing gay and lesbian marriages would bring the judgment of that sin from the partakers of that sin to a national level. God deals with and judges nations today just as he has in the past. If we want the blessing of God to pour out into our nation today as it has in times past we need to protect our nation from committing national sin. If you look at violent crimes , pregnancy in 12-14 year olds, illiteracy levels, un-employment and many other factors since 1963 when we first began taking God out of our society they have all increased astronomically, the only way to reverse these trends is to continue making progress in our government in acknowledging our creator. When we eschew evil and turn back to God our nation will return to the prosperity our fore-fathers saw. Continuing with the theme of restoring our christian identity to our nation, we need judges that will be strict constructionists or adhere to the constitution as it is written without putting their own interpretation on it. Mr. Obama supports the "Living Document" judges, the ones that change their interpretation of the constitution based on their personal beliefs instead of what the founding fathers intended to be enforced. His voting record clearly brings out where he stands in regard to judges. President Bush has appointed 2 judges to the supreme court, both of which are strict constructionists, both of whom Mr. Obama has voted against.
1/31/06 Vote 2: On the Nomination: Confirmation of Samuel A. Alito, Jr. to be an Associate Supreme Court Justice. Voted NO
9/29/05 Vote 245: On the Nomination: Confirmation of John G. Roberts, Jr., to be Chief Justice of the United States. Voted NO
In short Barack Obama stands against every biblical guideline we have for voting, as much as you would love to cast your vote for an African-American president, you have to wait until a candidate comes along that truly represents the true Christian belief system, and the betterment of the African-American community.
Fulfill Martin Luther King's dream by not voting for Barack Obama
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
I have a dream today!"
True Christians will not vote for Barack Obama by the color of his skin because it is racism. True Christian will not vote for Barack Obama because he has a bad moral character.
VOTE NO TO BARACK OBAMA
