THE WORST IS OVER: JUST LOOK AHEAD:

Updated on November 8, 2012

The End is in Sight.

And so the end´s in sight , at last,

We´ll soon be able to forget the past,

And look towards the future.

And so the fighting soon will end,

And l´ll see you again, my friend,

We´ll look towards the future.

The Battle has been cruel and long,

The people formed a Mighty Throng,

For they could see no future.

Those people, ragged, tired and cold,

All their possessions had been sold,

So, they could see no future.

They hungered for a piece of bread,

could not remember when last fed,

How could they see a future?

The wait was long for little food,

their rags so thin that some were nude,

but wait in line they had to.

The queue was very orderly,

l stared at this surprisingly,

For hunger can change people,

A mighty throng could soon become,

A rabble, mob, in fear were some,

yet silently they waited.

One by one of these proud people,

Walked ¨straight-backed´like a church steeple,

Proud and strong, the mighty throng..

One By One they stepped on forward,

Then collected their reward of

food enough for just one day.

They knew their bible, where it said,

Sufficient for each day your bread,

Don´t worry of tomorrow.

But the battle had been hard and long,

Who could blame the Mighty Throng,

If they had just surged forward?

A whisper passed around them all,

The enemy is soon to fall,

O.Please God, may that be true.

Can the end be fast approaching?

Please don´t tell us someone´s joking.!

Could someone be so cruel?

My dear people, think positive,

The time is coming when you´ll give,

to others as you used to.

The war will end. It´s coming soon,

The sky will clear, you´ll see the moon,

Not smokey skies from weapons.

No more tanks trundling through your streets,

Can you imagine such a feat?

l promise you it´s coming.

It´s difficult for you to see,

that war will end and peace will be,

For fighting´s all you´ve known, dear.

Your whole life from birth till this day,

Has been hardship, not ¨Go out and play¨.,

But soon that day is coming.

Our God is one of peace, you know.

And soon his power he´s going to show.

The earth will be so different.

You´ll ride a horse and feel no fear,

l´ll call you for your lunch, my dear,

The table will be groaning.

Groaning with food you´ve never seen,

Melons and pears, and all that´s green,

No dust and bullets near you.

No bullet casings, or the bombs,

But trees and flowers grow along,

the streets that now look hopeless.

l promise you that this is true,

the wait is over soon , for you.

The earth will be your garden.

Believe me child, as l believe it,

Hold on to the idea of it,

Picture it and you´ll believe.

Not long to wait, been long enough,

You´ve had to learn to be so tough.

But soon this will be over.

We´ll walk together, .... look ahead,

See Paradise, where there´s no dread.

of any enemies, love.

LOVE, yes love, is what will conquer,

Happiness we´ve always longed for,.

Here and now in our own lives,.

Only God can make this happen,

but He´s promised,

and He´s true,

God can never lie,

Put your faith in

the near future,

Almost here,

Hold on tight,

Almost here.........
