Make Your Word Bond to Yourself
What Shall I Render?
The Corona-virus pestilence has brought out the good or bad in many people and a few have become a truer version of who they really are. A wise person once said during the days when I was running the streets, “Make your word be bond to yourself.”
This saying stuck. What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
WHAT'S YOUR COST?
There is a certain possibility for one to lose his soul. This is somewhat a concern. How does one prevent the loss of their soul? I believe you could trade your soul in exchange for fortune, fame, notoriety. money, popularity, or self-absorption to name a few things. When your adversary the Devil asks, what is your cost? What would you say, or at least think? The ideal model-answer is “Get you behind me Devil” or would you think well a little dab will do me.
YOUR LAST DAYS
Be true to your essence and don’t sell out. Know this! One day you may have to approach your Audubon Theater podium or your Lorraine Motel Balcony. Walk steadfast knowing that you gave it your all and kept it real. Don’t sell out, have no regrets, be happy and don’t turn back! You came this far by God’s Grace!
KEEP ON TRUCKIN
In the words of that famous crooner from Union Springs, Alabama “Keep on Truckin Baby.” Then they will know you were here, when God approves what more can you ask for only a fool will hate. Don't hate. Love one another, then they shall know that you meant business and remember you and that you were the truest version of you that God created with His Right Hand.
