I remember, I remember

That one day in September

Or was it July?

When I met the guy

But I had no clue

That us two

Would ever become

Together dumb

I mean that in a good way

You were my “bae”

For over a year

You were there and I was here

Distance never mattered

We were scattered

I was always there and so were you

And promised each other that we would stay true

I hope you all find that friend one day...

That friend who cares

The friend who shares

That friend who cannot spend a day

Without the occasional “hey”

But a year went by...

I remember, I remember,

That one day in November

When everything was cold

With a story untold.

Boy do I remember

That one day in November

You didn't make me stay

And went your own way.

Three weeks went by

When we said goodbye

Filled with void,

A friendship destroyed

How can something once so passionate

And so affectionate,

Disappear into the blue

But I want to thank you

Thank you for helping me realise

This wonderful disguise

That was finally revealed

Behind the shield

Maybe you will change your mind

And not leave me behind

But please understand I’m hurt

When you treat me like dirt

Do I run back?

After that smack

Do I stay here?

Or join back in with my musketeer?

Three weeks of silence.

Bold defiance

Neither of us speak

For a three week streak

So I sit here hoping

Don’t know how I’m coping

Maybe we just need to pause

To go back the way it was.

You seem such a sweet Soul, with this very special picture reflecting this. Your true beauty is within. Once you are anchored there, then it will flow with vibrancy, like a river, not impeded by the transitory, or vicissitudes of Life. Be brave, be Cheerful. I am with you and for you. The Beyond is in you and for you. Do not look back. march on! Much Peace!
