Making time for a night out with your spouse can be tough sometimes. Maybe the kids are still small and spending the money for a babysitter and a date isn’t in the budget. Or perhaps you‘re not really feeling up to a night on the town but you still want quality time with your partner. Regardless of the reason, at-home dates can be super fun and special when executed properly. So if you can’t get out of the house this weekend but want some fun ideas to try, read on for a list of 10 easy, affordable and fun date night ideas that you can try from the comfort of home.

At Home Movie Night

For a super affordable date night in, rent a movie or find one of your old favorites and watch it together. Pick one you’ll both love or take turns choosing one you’ve been wanting to see. If you have plenty of time, you can even turn movie night into a movie marathon and watch as many movies as you can in one night. This works especially well for series movies. Make sure to have some great movie theater snacks like popcorn and candy available. Then cozy up and start watching!

Candlelight Dinner

For a more romantic date night in, light some candles, cook your favorite romantic meal together, and make a playlist of all your songs. Then relax and eat and have a glass or two of wine together.

Look Up

Stargazing is a great way to spend a night together. Take some lawn chairs or a blanket to lie down on out to your yard and look up at the stars.
