20 Ways to Show You Care

Life is about relationships and caring for special people. Sometimes we assume that those people know that we love them, but there may be times when they need to see love in action. Even saying "I love you" frequently doesn't speak as loudly as your actions can.

Here are a few ways that you can express love to that special person in your life, be it your husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend:

-Leave a note on their pillow or in their car telling him how much you care.

-Put everything down and listen to them. Ask questions to show that you're listening and want to know more.

-Do one of the household chores that he/she dislikes.

-Prepare your loved one's lunch box for work with special treats included.

-Rub her back or feet when she comes home tired.

-Buy her/him a gift certificate for their favorite store or restaurant.

-Send a text message to him/her daily telling them how much they mean to you.

-Speak highly of your spouse to his family and your family.

-Bring him/her breakfast in bed once in a while.

-Prepare her favorite meal.

-Mend his socks or do that home repair that is pending.

-Invite your spouse to a picnic and pack his favorite foods.

-Bring her a cup of her favorite tea with a cookie on the side (my husband won me over with this one).

-Share a cartoon or joke with your spouse and make him laugh.

-Organize his closet and clothes drawers.

-Fill the bathtub or jacuzzi, add bubbles and light some candles, and give her some time to relax and unwind.

-Offer to run a few errands for your spouse so he/she will have more time for fun things.

-Take your spouse on a date once a week-it doesn't have to involve spending money and could be something as simple as a walk at the park.

-Buy your spouse a new blouse or shirt, or nice warm socks in the winter.

-Lastly, don't forget to say "I love you".

These things can go a long way in nurturing your relationship and I'm sure that you will think of even more ways to show your love.
