A Sense Of Value
Having self confidence
Confidence! We have heard of this word over and over again, and have come to acknowledge it, yet confidence is not enough in our everyday life: self confidence is.
Most people are confident in the abilities and fame of others; could be their parents, siblings, friends, lover or even an acquaintance, but they are never confidant in themselves and their own abilities.
A true sense of value comes from self confidence. Self confidence is the appreciation of our God given nature, abilities and form. The fact that you can’t sing doesn’t make you any less better than Beyonce. Being short, fat, or having one form of deformity or the other doesn’t make you any less beautiful or important than you should be. We are all created in God’s wonderful image and every person who wants to make an impact must remember this. The difference in our appearance and abilities is what makes us unique
People stay in relationships they know are doomed to fail just because their value and confidence is tied to the other person. Others stay with the wrong people or make friends with the wrong set of people just to boost up their own image. But this shouldn’t be so.
No person of worth stays where he/she is made to feel worthless. A person with a sense of value knows when to say Yes and No and do not need to be pressured into anything by anyone. A person with a sense of value is distinct, distinguishable and a person to be reckoned with.
If you notice your self worth or value being tied to another person, where you can’t do anything without the approval and participation of the other person, then it’s time to make a change.
It is time to make your self distinguishable and distinct. You could start by learning to do little things by yourself, taking decisions and learning new things. Not only would it increase your self confidence, but it will also make you feel good.
