Updated on February 24, 2010

Many women would love to look as though they stepped right off the cover of "Cosmopolitan", "Maxim", "W" or even "Playboy" magazine. Nearly all would like to feel their most attractive, sensual and confident self. And almost every women involved in a relationship would welcome the secret for securing a marriage proposal from a traditionally non-committed boyfriend.

A fantasy or boudoir photography session will definitely aid in creating a new mystique, bring out the woman's sensual side, and even help rekindle or change a relationship. Many photographic subjects ask "Can the results of a single photography sitting really make a difference in someone's life?"

The answer is: YES! YES! YES!

A boudoir photography session, also called glamour photography, is a way of creating sensual, romantic and intimate photos for women of all ages, shapes and sizes. When the boudoir photography is done tastefully to enhance the feeling of love and romance as well as to instill confidence and self esteem in the woman being photographed, the client not only has a beautiful photo of herself, she has stronger self esteem and a higher level of confidence.

The initial reason a woman wants a boudoir photography session is to usually to create a collection of boudoir photos and intimate photos as a gift for someone she is romantically involved with. But even though these photos can be unusual romantic sexy gifts for anniversaries, bridal gifts, birthday gifts and special holiday gifts, deep down, the woman is usually doing it for herself.

And there is nothing wrong with that!

Enhancing one's self esteem is always beneficial.

Most boudoir photography sessions have female stylists, makeup artists, and hairstylists who work magic because everyone has the potential to look beautiful with the proper makeup, hairstyle, pampering, soft lighting techniques and the photographic skills of the boudoir photographer. A little retouching and nip and tuck is sometimes done to enhance the final images.

A lot of boudoir photographers do not work with professional models, just everyday people who want to look beautiful and bring out their goddess self in a safe and comfortable environment. A good boudoir photographer will do this with a minimum of fuss and effort on the subject's part. In fact many women have a wonderful time in their boudoir photography sessions.

The goal is generally to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere where the woman feels confident and enhanced and really gets to live her fantasy in a photograph. This realization can sometimes be a life changing experience because the woman realizes that beauty comes from within and it just takes a little help to make it shine.
