Cheers to Forsyth!
Me and Forsyth
An Ode to Forsyth
Way back when in a year we will not disclose,
Two redheads met and struck a certain pose.
An odd friendship to some but that's not how I feel,
To be such good friends, a Jayhawk and a Tarheel.
We met in Sinpar, an oft strange and virtual place,
Where men and women often one another did chase.
My friend Forsyth had a special talent she often shared with us,
Writing funny and tawdry poetry that often caused a fuss.
We've been through more than a thing or two between the two of us,
Much more of it than I care to mention is better never to discuss.
So dear friend of mine, we're older now but Lord knows we're no wiser,
On this the day of your dear birth I declare we're nearly geyzers.
Happy Birthday, my dear friend, I'm not quite as good as you are,
At making rhymes with naughty words and going just a bit too far.
This poem that I've written out, just for you on this special day,
I hope it doesn't meet your red pen and portions go away!
Happy Birthday, my dear friend!!!
