Dumped After 10 Years Part 2
After the Week-End!
It's 6:15 a.m. on Monday morning, the air is crisp and Sarah arrives at the Station dressed in a 2-piece white cotton outfit and looks like she just jumped out of the shower. Her dirty blonde hair was still clingy and clung around her pale ivory skin.
Pardon the expression but she looked like something that you cat had drugged in on a rainy day. The three of us was were already standing in a huddle in conversation when she stopped right in front of us. I knew what was coming and kind of lean back to take a look at the clock on the wall.
Sarah went on to tell Linda, Joyce and myself about how he had called to meet with her over dinner on Friday. Between the time he made the appointment earlier in the week and Friday he had cancelled and rescheduled for Saturday.
It was last Friday that I told her that he would be calling her to see her. Of course, she didn't believe me and it definitely was not alright to say I told you so. Sarah went on to tell us that he wanted to meet over unfinished business about "her" medical bills. Linda and Joyce we're doing there best to conjole her. The flashing of the train's light and sound of its horn transported us back from Sarah's World to reality.
As we departed, Sarah looked like a 12-Step Recoveree on the verge of a slip. Joyce tried to further console her as that walked away to a different train car.
