E- People

We are the e-people..electronic people actually! Its the age of advanced technology but sadly where are the human beings? With a click we add people and with a hit we click delete! we cant stop going gaga over what technology has given us...come to think of it what it has taken away from us? We have tall men with short characters, wider chests narrow hearts, houses not homes, swanky cars to drive but nowhere to go ! People dont fall in love, they just fall in beds! deep down we are all the same..we laugh, we cry, we live, we die! but for each other we remain e-people..devoid of emotions and even if some emotion is 'detected' like a virus in our system..we boot our system to get rid of it! This lifeless screen becomes us..we share laughter with a smile like this:) or sadness like this:( Is that all there is to a smile or sadness? Oh! if only we could reach out and see the person we are electronically close to, hold their hand in times of need or wipe out tears to replace it with a smile..life wud be so much better! Long after the person is gone remains a picture of them smiling on your screen to remind you it was a human being capable of hurting and getting hurt! You can ''like'' what I say or just click me ''Delete'' and move on for we are the E-people ! <

Ah ! the good old days.

My mind was bombarded with these thoughts ! I miss how in the good old days love and friendship meant more. The dynamics of love and friendship have changed since the internet has come into our lives with plethora of social networking sites ! Bringing on its heels cyber love and cyber break up. What does love mean in an age, where relationships are made and severed at a click ? You make or accept a friendship request and there you have a 'friend'. People dont have time for friendship so they make up for it by posting a few comments at their 'friends' wall or chatting up friends from their profile. Where is the genuineness and warmth of meeting a person and getting to know them ? Listening and learning from each others experiences ? To be honest majority of people on the internet are not what they are in real life..So are we getting to know the real person behind an anonymous figure ?

I admit in real life or in cyber space, there is real pain,disappointment and heart break that accompanies love or what is assumed as love.But love on the internet has more or less become a new sport ! Some people lose their sense of reality and paint a larger than life picture of themselves or the one they fall for. It becomes impossible to walk out of this dream unharmed.Those who throw caution to the wind can suffer serious consequences.There are ample of websites with real stories which gives one an opportunity to learn from other's mistakes.

Caution is so very necessary.

Please take time and try to know the person well before getting involved emotionally, Look deeper into the situations and keep it in mind that if something looks too good to be true..It probably is.Those who have found true love on the net are plain lucky and such cases are few and fewer. Perhaps miracles do happen ! Be wary of control freaks, the over possessive,the obsessive, the sadists, the needy clingers,the stalkers. The list goes on. The key is to proceed with caution and go slowly. Understand what is written in their messages, read between the lines or pay attention to the tone of their voice.

Cyber love affairs, cyber break up, cyber stalking, cyber bullying ! Is it really worth getting entangled in this net ? You decide for yourself !
