What are the requirements for getting a Las Vegas marriage license?

To get a Las Vegas marriage license, a valid driver's license or passport is needed.

Both the bride and groom must be over the age of 18 or have consent of a parent that is listed on the birth certificate present when obtaining the marriage license in Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas marriage license must be paid for in cash and costs $55.

There is no waiting period or blood test required to get a marriage license in Las Vegas.

You don't need your Social Security card, but you do need to know your Social Security number so that it can be put on the Las Vegas marriage license. Of course, people who aren't US citizens do not need a Social Security number.

The requirements to get married in Las Vegas are the same for non-US citizens as for citizens of the United States. However, any documents in languages other than English must be translated into English and notarized.

      When you look back at how much money you can spend (waste) on a wedding, this makes a lot of sense.. Doesn't matter if you spend $100 or $100,000 - you are just as married.. And I bet you would have better stpries for the kids about a Vegas wedding!!
