Happiness an emotion that keeps us searching for our rainbows of life.

'Happiness is an elusive stranger that we all chase"

When we were little kids, happiness was doing things for our parent and being given compliments and sweet treats by our parent. Over our years of growing up, we realized that happiness is a part of life; that all of us want to catch up with and hold it close to our hearts. Happiness is an emotions that constanlty eludes us sometimes, no matter how much we want to seize it;  but The elusive happiness manages to slip through our fingers, yet again. The most important thing is look for it within us; before we can find it outside ourselves. If we can love ourselves and be content with who we are, then we can recieve and except love and happiness from someone else.

The constant search for happiness is like looking for a diamond in th rough or a neede in a hay stack, but we want it so badly, that we keep searching and looking for the only thing to satisfy us and make us whole. Happiness is finding someone that will genuinely love us for who we are, except us for our misgivens; and forgive us our silly mistakes in life.

We are all in search of this elusive stranger call happiness, and if by chance, we're blessed to find it, lets live our lives with thanksgiving and praises of the joy we have found.

Very true words of wisdom. It's like searching for happiness in the rainbow, or in a four leaf clover. The first thing that we need to do is as you said,"Find happiness in ourselves", self love is the greatest love of all, other that the love of God. When we find that special one that loves us unconditionally we should hold on to them with all our mights.

That's so true that if we are not happy with ourselves, than it's going to be doubly hard to find happiness elsewhere.

This was a very interesting hub, I myself often wonder why it's so hard to be happy. Now don't get me wrong for the most part I am really happy but due to health issues sometimes I get a little down. But I am truly a happy person and I look forward to the day I will feel better so that I can be the happy person I am. Stop by and read my hubs I'm a newbie and I'm just getting started but there might be something that interests you.
