How to Tell if Your Relationship is Over
People fight, but I’ve noticed that a lot of couples now don’t know when to call it quits--both young and old. I guess misery has no age limit or minimum. Here are a few ways to tell that you should probably call it quits before someone gets hurt even more than they already have:
You don’t even remember the good days you had together, only the fighting. And to top it off, all you do is fight now. You’re also making everyone around you miserable. That’s probably a good way to tell that you’re headed for Splitsville.
When you talk to your friends all you do is complain about your significant other. You never say anything positive about them anymore, only highlighting their worst attributes. The person you’re with is making you miserable and you’ve decided to spread it around. You should probably end things before you end up not only broken up with your girlfriend or boyfriend, but with no friends at all.
You’d rather be alone than hanging out with him or her. Not just once or twice, but all the time now. That’s a red flag if I ever saw one.
You fantasize about breaking up with your girlfriend or boyfriend, thinking day by day what it would be like to play the field again. Never a good sign. You should end it before you end up cheating and causing even more problems in your already failing relationship than you already have.
You’ve started to ignore one another and sit in uncomfortable silences. The kicker? You’re not even mad with one another, that’s just how things are between the two of you now! Either get to the root of that problem or just call it a day. It’s a rap.
Everything about the person you’re with either annoys you or disgusts you, even the things you used to find cute. That’s like having a juicy sirloin steak and watching it go moldy right before your eyes. It’s not going to be like it was so stop waiting for it to do the impossible. End it before you end up saying or doing something horrible you can never take back but wish you did.
