Friends Across the Globe
The internet is massive and most people in this day and age use it for everything from business to casual correspondence. It’s a new somewhat exciting experience for most people to endure. I have become overwhelmed with what it has to offer. In my longing to become a successful writer I have used the tools of the internet to expose myself to the outside world. Years ago this would have been a slow process getting so many to read what I have written. I plan to expose myself even more as time goes on. And I’m counting on every friend I meet on the internet to help me get that inspiration I so desperately need. So far through blogging and social network sites I have met many valuable friends. I have been blessed to have made their acquaintance and I appreciate each comment and form of advice they have to offer me. Now is the time of the writer more than any other time we have witnessed, now is the time for the salesman, the students, the teachers, the researchers, and many other aspects needed to pursue a successful career. I cannot find reason why people shouldn’t take full advantage of the World Wide Web and what it has to offer. In this trying economic time people are struggling to make ends meet. The friendship reached across the globe could be means of support for those who try to engage in selling their craft or merchandize.
Use Good Judgment
Friends can come from all walks of life. I believe each new friend we meet is put in our lives for a reason. How often do we meet someone and form an instant bond? For some people it is seldom, but for many it is often. Meeting people online can be as a rewarding of a friendship as those we meet in person, if we let it. Sometimes we may get to meet them in person and discover they are just as we thought they would be. However it is wise not to share too much information with online friends until we form a trusting relationship. In today’s world we never know where the next shady character is hiding.
As children we have been programmed never to talk to strangers. This may be true when talking online as much as it is in person. But if we use good judgment in those we chat with online it does not have to be dangerous. Just as we encounter people in person, most are trustworthy and trust is something very important when dealing with any type of relationship.
