Let us Submit

Updated on February 14, 2015

Colossians 3:18 “Wives, submit to your own husbands as is fitting to the Lord”

Ephesians 5:22 “Wives submit to your own husbands as to the Lord”

1 Peter 3:1 “Wives, likewise be submissive to your own husbands. . . “

When we got born again our Salvation Prayer more than likely contained words such as, “Jesus be the Lord of my life.”

Jesus is the good Shepherd, we are His sheep and we follow Him, we are meant to in all our ways submit to Him for He is our Lord.

Submit: give power to, surrender to someone else, stop trying to fight or resist someone, to relent, to yield to or succumb to.

This is the life of a Believer, surrendered or submitted completely to Jesus, letting Him lead the way. Trusting in Him always!

And so it should be also in Marriage

Submission: State of being obedient, act of accepting the authority or control of someone else.

As you can see in the above scriptures I am not making this up but women have not done this for many years. We have gotten out of hand. We have the desire to rule and reign in our relationships and marriages. Do you see the outcome of that? Marriages are falling apart. Divorce has become the norm in our society, not the plan that God had. WE need to get things back in line with the Word of God. I know already women are not going to like this, but if you want a successful marriage then the only way to secure that is by doing what the Word says to do. SUBMIT!!!

It all starts with submission

I realise that “submission” or “submit” to a woman’s ears is a curse word but let me tell you that the devil has deceived woman in this regard. Submission just means as you can see above it is surrendering to someone else and being obedient. Nowhere does it say that we are to be dominated and crushed in spirit and controlled and abused. No, on the contrary God tells Husbands to love their wives as Christ loves the Church so when both parties are doing what the Word says, think on how glorious your marriage will be.

Ladies this is Biblical order. Man came first. God made woman for man as a “help meet.” Man was not created for women. I can back this up with scripture.

Genesis 2:18 “And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him (KJV)

Genesis 2:21-23 “So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man."

As you can see, The Word clearly states that woman was made for man. I didn’t make that up. Also woman was made OUT of man and man named her.

I understand that women don’t like this and don’t want to believe in it but it was God’s plan. Your husband is the HEAD, whether you like it or not. It is our job to submit to him and allow him to be the man that God created him to be. We as women can either make or break our men. Love does no harm so why would you even do such a thing? You can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat their spouse, you can also tell where they are with their relationship with Jesus. If a woman is not submitting to her Husband then she is certainly not submitting to Jesus because submission in a marriage starts with submitting to Jesus.

Ladies let us make a point of submitting to our Husbands making their lives so much easier for they are able to function as they were supposed to. Let them lead and let us follow!

Let us take our rightful place alongside our Husbands and let them take their rightful place as HEAD!

GOD BLESS
