  • What is Love?

Losing one to find one

Updated on June 21, 2015

Losing and Finding love..

I was running late for my appointment,

Of life's challenges and disappointments.

Has lead me to feel desolate and emptied.

All because of him whom I married.

Shattered like tempered glass,

Lost and broken from years of my past.

When my eyes first caught sight of your face,

I couldn't breath and my heart started to race.

I stared at you from the corner of my eye,

We exchanged numbers and said goodbye.

I notice after a while,

What? Wait, is that a smile?!

An old unfamiliar feeling I haven't felt in years.

Did my emotions just switched gears?

Who are you and how did you penetrate my stoned heart?

Like the " Mona Lisa's" its fine work of art.

Until the next time we meet again,

Feels like forever from now until then.

Beautiful work. I love the way you capture your inner emotions in your poetry. Voted up. P.s. The pic of the Mona Lisa drew me in too.
