Updated on October 14, 2012

Puppy Love

Puppy love is when a child has feelings for an older adult, the child has a crush on them. The older adult could be a teacher that the child knows. The child shows love, or infatuation toward the person, who is the object of the child's affection. Puppy love is well known and is a part of growing up. Puppy love is like the adoring affection that may be felt by a puppy, which is where puppy love gets it's name. A child may be infatuated with an adult, who may be a friend of the family, or even a relative. Students, who are young children, or even young teenagers, may feel attracted to their teachers. Actors, or rock stars become the object of love to many young adoring female fans, who feel love, or infatuation toward the actor, or rock star. A young teenager may daydream and have fantasies about the older adult, who they think they love, or are infatuated with. Puppy love is emotions that a young person can feel toward an adult, who they may see as idealistic, someone they can look up to.

A Puppy Love Story

I remember one puppy love story from many years ago, way back in the 1960's. There was a little girl, who was in the first or second grade that had a crush on an older boy. The older boy played baseball (little league). They use to have little league baseball games that were played in the evenings. The little girl's oldest brother, also played on the team. The little girl's crush was no secret. One day they took some pictures of the little league baseball team members, and they had the little girl take a picture with the older boy she had the crush on. The little girl gave the older boy that she had the crush on a kiss on the cheek, and a picture was taken at that very moment. I don't know why this little girl had the crush on the older boy? Maybe it was because he was a nice looking older boy. Maybe he looked ideal to the little girl at the time? The little girl grew up. She had feelings for actors, who seemed ideal, or rock stars from the 1960's, most notably Davy Jones of The Monkees. Davy Jones seemed very ideal, as he was very cute. Many young girls of the 60's went wild over Davy Jones, and felt that they were in love with him and couldn't live without him.
