Soul Mates And Love At First Sight; A Personal Belief That We All Must Decide For Ourselves

My personal belief is that there is a soul mate. I wrote a book based off of that. My opinion might be a bit whimsical but it is my opinion. I think you have that perfect soul mate and you're joined always, even through death. That is my yin to the yang theory.

In Chinese Philosophy, yin and yang (also, yin-yang or yin yang) describes how apparently opposite or contrary forces are actually complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. Many tangible dualities (such as light and dark, fire and water, expanding and contracting) are thought of as physical manifestations of the duality symbolized by yin and yang.

The first ever written reference to a person having a soul mate was by Plato, a Greek philosopher (427 B.C. -348 B.C.). Plato's theory was that two individuals had one soul that they only had half of. He theorized that when they were split apart they were forever searching for that other half so they could feel their original sense of completeness.

The theory goes that each half of the soul, or rather each person, goes through life learning all the lessons at their own pace. Then when and if they cross paths they have a very strong and deep connection. Then there are some who never cross paths with their other half and instead choose to remain alone. Such as the theory goes.

As far as love at first sight goes, I believe in that to a degree, but I believe that your logic can't understand a connection on that level. It has to be cultivated or unearthed so to speak. That is if that person is your soul mate.

You can put all the scientific research behind different matters of the heart but truthfully I think that is something we all have to just feel out ourselves. Have you ever met someone though and felt you've known them your whole life? I believe in things like that also. There are souls that we have connections with, not soul mate connections though, and that's why we feel as if we have always known them because in a way we have.

The world is a vast space full of possibilities and concepts we can't even imagine. Just think, there was once a time when people thought telephones, harnessing electricity, flying and many more things were impossible, but they all happened.
