Stirring in my sleep, those blue eyes of yours beckon to me
Stirring in my sleep, those blue eyes of yours beckon to me
in my summer dream
in my summer dream
in deep darkness
in deep darkness
in echoing silence
in echoing silence
the soft footsteps in the hallway
the soft footsteps in the hallway
the sudden leap
the sudden leap
two lampshade of the colour green, the loyal curious face
two lampshade of the colour green, the loyal curious face
watching my distress
watching my distress
curling up next to me
curling up next to me
I stroke her smooth furry back
I stroke her smooth furry back
that the warm I need
that the warm I need
I can not get from a cat,
I can not get from a cat,
when are you coming back?
when are you coming back?
No answer...
No answer...

I open my heart

and allow

wonderful things

to flow into it,

I open my mind

not to reflect on the past

or to think about future

but just feel

and see

and describe

I am happy for this moment,

this moment is my life.

my soul awakens

the search begins

I open the door

and step outside

there is a path

lost in the greenery

barely visible

that leads all the way

to you

blackbirds chirp their morning song

everyone goes around

their every day business,

there are no good wishers

no friends

neither family

no one really knows

why this day

from all the other days

is so special

for YOU and ME...

Once you discover the taste of TODAY

you don't want to go back

to the lost days of the past

or unpredictable future of tomorrow

For the short moment of TODAY

you are inflamed with a special longing

to capture the essence of presence...

I stayed in bed

longer than usual

hot and expecting

thoughts of you

on my mind

every fibre in my body

responding to your distant touch

hot lava of awakening senses

flowing through my veins

your words

across the void

reaching my heart

the loudest noise has become

your silence

the passionate sigh

and your rhythmical motions

helped me to release

my own emotions

I am on fire

but not yet burning...

I will wait until I reach your arms...

Two hands in one

only one pair of wings to fly

one gentle touch

is enough

to bring two hearts back to life

my fingertips on your lips

your fingertips tickling my insides

Two bodies in one

you are deaf

and I am blind

we need to move

the only sense

we are left with

is touch...

Two souls in one

fire and water

dancing together

to the music of the night

I give you my body

you give me your heart

there is all I have

you whisper to me

is it enough?

I am scared to ask

but I don't need to

the passion in us

take over

you can not stop the life...

a feeling

dreaming state

comes from nowhere

we give her many names

just a start

of many loose ends

we tight together

to make a statement

'I love you'

just like that...

Talking with our eyes

with our hands

new emotions

we touch cautiously

with our fingertip

to get out

they take a flight...

Do they survive?

Do we?

Beginning of love

always a chance

a pleasant surprise

a pair of butterfly wings

suddenly tickling

a palm of your hand

what has wings

has to fly

but how far

it is up to us...

the harvest moon

enters my room

You are my husband

and I am your wife

in his illumination

I see you

coming towards me

with your arms outstretched

asking me for dance

in waves of dark night blues

we move

softly and smoothly

to each other ear,

I am so happy you are here,

I was waiting for you....

Ahhh...Tomorrow. What does it hold. We create our tomorrows through the passion and action of our today's. Nonetheless, not a one of us know if our tomorrow will ever come. Therefore, love today as if there is no tomorrow. I love your ending, because it reminds us to love today with all the passion and wonder so eloquently brought to life in the words that proceeded it. Reminds me of the words to the Garth Brooks song. If tomorrow never comes...will she know how much I loved her. Beautifully written.

And would we not wish all my fellow hubber? Smile, would we not wish all, but life is not fairy tale, or is it?

I love your poem's flow on a budding romance but you left me hanging with that last line. I would end with a happily ever after.
