Vintage Wedding Vases

Updated on April 2, 2011

The Wedding Reception

The kind of reception a couple has is coordinated with the style of the wedding. One of the trends is a vintage wedding. Many variations are possible:

Very formal, formal, semi-formal or informal. The size, formality and atmosphere should reflect the couple's personal taste and budget, and the formality of their ceremony.

Very Formal Wedding Reception

A very formal reception will usually have a sit-down, multi-course dinner with a champagne toast, a live orchestra or band, a head table for the bridal party, plus modest-to-lavish flowers and decorations.

Formal Wedding Reception

A formal wedding is less elegant than a very formal wedding and reception, but is likely to include live music and a planned meal.

Semi-formal Wedding Reception

Semi-formal receptions always include beverages and a buffet of some kind. Live music may or may not be provided.

Great idea, even if you are not a diy bride, various interesting continers can be found at thrift stores and goodwills. Most florists and designer will be happy to use what the client provides. If you do your own flowers and order of line- PLEASE read the fine print and shipping page- remember, cold packs are great, but UPS does not use refrigerated trucks. The containers are a part of the design and are as improtant as the flowers. Milk glass is classic.

As an old banquet server I personally prefer informal weddings, and I especially like those three tear drop clear glass vases in the informal section, they are so elegant looking. Great looking hub!

Just got married last month, although I had nothing to do with the planning, I wish I would have run across this sooner I could have given some input to my mother in law. My sister in law is getting married soon though, I'll show her this hub. Cheers,

This is fabulous! Feel like getting married again, to the same man! It was a bit frustrating not to find these beautiful vases (for our long stem roses) here in Hawaii when we wed.
