What Is Bisexuality to Me "5 Things I've Learned"
After years of questioning myself, there's a lot I’ve learned from accepting and living my sexuality. This is are the most valuable lessons:
1) It’s Not Limiting.
On the contrary, it gives you more options. Think about how many beautiful people you’re able to love. Instead of losing your sleep about what it means, embrace how lucky you are.
2) It’s Way More Common Than You Think.
You might feel like there's no one like you where you live. I grew up in a small town in Mexico and I was very surprised when a lot of my friends find them. told me they've also questioned their sexuality. There’s a lot of LGBTQ near you, but it might take time.
3) Labels Are Not a Contract
For example, bisexuality is not the same for everyone and that’s okay. Labels help us feel understood but sexuality is fluid and complex. Don’t feel pressured to live by the definition of others.
4) It’s Not 50/50 and It Might Vary Over Time.
As I said before it’s different for each one of us. I've also noticed that my interest or attraction in a certain gender might change for a while. I'm more into girls or more into guys, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m bi.
5) It’s a Beautiful Community.
We have a very rich history and some of the best people out there.
Be proud of the way you love and remember that the future looks bright for us.
I promise to keep updating on my journey of self-discovery, leave a comment or question below.
