What to Get Your Girlfriend for Valentine's Day

Updated on February 12, 2018

Valentines day is around the corner, and many guys have no clue what to give their girlfriend to show that they love them.

I am here to save the day and your relationship. Now don’t get me wrong all girls are different and you know what your girl likes and what she doesn’t, but if you are having a hard time narrowing down gift options then here’s a list for you.

Three of the best gifts for your girlfriend for Valentines day.

Jewelry

There is a old saying that says, diamonds are a girl’s best friend, its not wrong but it isn’t fully true either. Women like shiny things, hell I do.

The problem most men have when picking out jewelry for their partner is that they buy what they think is pretty and not a style their partner would like.

If your significant other is a jewelry lover like most girls then think back to when you saw her wearing jewelry last and what it looked like. if you can, then go dig in her jewelry box to see what she likes.

Some women like chunky jewelry that makes a statement while other ladies like simple or plain jewelry, that is also beautiful but doesn’t draw much attention. Once you have it figured out if she likes chunky or simple we move onto the next step.

Colour, Is her jewelry gold, silver, beaded you don’t want to get a girl a explosion of colour if she would rather prefer a simple silver chain with a small coloured stone.

Candy

The most common gift for valentines day is a heart shaped box of chocolates, but I was always disappointed with this gift because its just chocolate.

I don’t want to eat a whole bunch of the same chocolate all day, at first its yum yum but after a little while my mouth wants something different.

So instead of getting your girlfriend a boring heart shaped box of chocolate, get her a bunch of different candy and make a sweet hamper for her, that way it wont feel like you didn’t put any effort into her gift.

Anyone can buy chocolate from the store. Give her a candy bundle of all her favorite candy, that way she will feel special and she will know it was personalized by you for her.

Stuffed animals

Everyone grew up with at least one teddy that we held tight at bed time to protect us from the monsters under the bed, Whaaat that was just me? I’m normal I promise.

I love stuffed animals, I only have two now but they were both from my boyfriend. You can’t go wrong with a stuffed animal and the best thing is that it doesn’t have to be a bear.

Does your girlfriend like dogs then get her a dog stuffed animal, she will love it. Is your significant other one of those girls that like spiders then get her a spider stuffed animal, this gift is so easy and you can just ask her what her favorite animal is and she wont even think you would get a stuffed animal of it because its such a innocent and neutral question.

PS

If you are planning to pop the question on the most lovey dovey day of the year, then don’t ask your girlfriend what ring size she is, spoils the surprise (not cool).

So get a fake cheap ring and a ring box so you can do the whole proposal thing in the amazing way that you want to. then, after she says yes tell her that you want to pick out a real ring together, and if she said no, then no harm done.

I can’t tell you how many girls aren’t happy with the way their ring looks, so make that girl extra happy and surprise her and get her that ring she wants. Best of luck to all the guys out there.
