Can Watching Porn With Spouse Better Your Physical Relationship in Life?

Updated on December 27, 2017

Human Relationships

Human relationships are complex. When we say they are complex, it usually means that moods and thoughts of humans vary at most times of the day and one cannot make general rules. Human moods are not like postulates of a mathematical theorem. Having said this, the fact remains that this is an important part of human psychology and throughout history man has always tried to get the most out of a physical relationship. It is also a fact that the old saying familiarity dulls the senses holds true and that includes physical relationships. Over a period of time relationships can get stale. Familiarity and lack of variety can have a negative effect.

One of the proven methods that can rejuvenate a relationship is watching porn together. What is Porn? It is a short form for pornography and means watching on a video or screens the actual demonstration of the physical relationship. This is generally depicted graphically on the screen. Do couples watch pornography together? Well in India where there is so much prudery it is relatively rare, but in the west it’s more common. It is worth studying the pros and cons of such a relationship i.e. watching porn together with a long time girl friend or man or a spouse.

Rejuvenating a Relationship

Generally, it is agreed by social scientists that watching porn together will have some benefits. One of the biggest benefits is a rejuvenation of a flagging sex drive. It can help you understand what your partner prefers. To watch porn together, it is important both you and your partner participate in this without inhibitions. Women in India particularly in villages are apt to be shy and may refrain to watch porn with their men, but in case the ice can be broken it can work wonders.

Visual pictures and the motions on the screen add an impetus of their own and talking about it in the confines of your bedroom with your spouse can add miles to a relationship. As and when you see such visual imagery, it may appeal to you enough to try it out with your partner. Discuss such desires with your partner. This may help you in discovering what really turns you and your partner on.

The second benefit is the improvement in the relationship. The couple can learn new techniques and positions and methods of consummation. It can help create fantasy, which is so important in a relationship. Thus watching porn together can be beneficial, certainly more than watching alone and being discovered by the partner. This may have a negative effect.

Watching porn together not only adds variety to a relationship, but chances of infidelity may recede for both partners. It can also increase the physical attraction as a new element is added in a human beings life.

Another point is that it will certainly add spice to your physical relationship. One can understand that physical relationship is the bedrock of human relationship and watch porn together is a great fillip to such a relationship. Newer positions and techniques can be copied and these will add wonders to a relationship. It may help both of you to pick up newer positions. Shyness so common in Indian villages would go leading to a healthier and more potent health and drive.

Negative Effect

Everything in excess can be a double edge sword. Watching porn in excess and thinking of a similar partner can have a negative effect. It can raise wrong expectations of your partner, which may not be fulfilled.

It can also affect the drive and libido as a person may prefer watching porn, more than the physical act. This can be disastrous and will have a negative effect. The important thing is moderation and the idea that what you watch is not necessarily practical. Reality and screen can be different. Thus it is important to strike out a middle path, where porn is used to help a relationship than to dull it. It should not lead to a partner seeking gratification with another partner.

Last Word

Pornography does have a place and that is the reason porn sites thrive in the world. But keeping your head on shoulders and taking what you see as a realization of a fantasy and trying it with your partner is a good thing, but don’t do it in excess

Medical research shows porn has a disastrous effect on healthy relationships and sexual health. It is now also responsible for damaging the emotional development of the young.

Thank you Oztinato. It is for people who may become jaded. Medical science supports this.

There is no value at all in watching porn. How on earth can watching other people have sex help a real relationship? !

It demeans and devalues love between two people.
