Cloudy Path

Updated on July 11, 2013

The Fog

Once in a lifetime you meet your best friend for life

Then you know together you can travel many journeys

Some will be very intriguing and full of mischief

Others may be very trying at times

In the end you know that you will walk away together

Striving for the future that lies ahead

Sometimes your journey takes you astray

Off the beaten path you travel together

You feel uncertain, scared, and unaware

We embrace the path certain we will overcome it

Hand in hand we surge forward

Until we come across a wooded area

Over grown with negativity and no path to be seen

You pass threw before me to protect from uncertainty

Frustration builds within you

With questions that cannot be answered as the limbs begin to cause hurt

I lose you in the path; I cannot see you as the fog sets in

I can hear you but not sure it is truly you

Maybe an echo of what was

I stand there feeling alone, calling out to you

You cannot see me for the fog has arrived

You cannot hear me for the wrestle of the tree’s leaves

Scared and uncertain of what to do

Not knowing what to believe in sight nor sound

I stand alone in the decision

Knowing my love has never been wrong

Certain within myself

I am left with but one thing left to do

Continue on the same path with hopes that we will reunite

I am certain in my faith in time we will

Will your faith withstand the turn of time

Can you believe in what yet is to be unseen

Only you know if you can withstand the darkness and the fog

Nice! Alexa, many times I choose between four words of my own as an accolade of sorts or closer to being easy to type - giggle. With that said Nice! as meaning with that vocabulary list of four words represents, speechless.

Sharing. I have a very Dearest Friend who knows of Firbromyalgia intimately. One phenomena is the term "FibroFog." You may like to Google for understanding. This poem you shared does bring that reality of her life to bear upon my soul, as in the presence of Now.

She in Sweden and me in the greater San Diego area have vastness separating us, yet those skills as empathic offers both understanding and too, experience as experienced. Sharing I must go for a walk and as shared in the little treatise at your question today, clear the mechanism.

Ponder, one may discover knowing never when, why what was written as wrote as a how or how much of this or that offering for who or whomever something more than before . . .

Mitch (Keep the poems coming, they work!)
