I don't think so. Much of the world requires families to be 2 income to survive. In that scenario, what works for the family is what is "ideal." Roles have simply changed as a matter of societal evolution. Whether it is better now than years ago can be debated, but the practical reality will still exist. So why be nostalgic?
We need to break out of this, women are equally if not better educated and are equally if not more capable than men. So why the stereotype?? Men should slowly become adept at traditionally feminine roles as women contribute to the family's economic vault!
