Pleasant to look at -- like a beautiful woman, powerful plane, noble thoroughbred?  Perhaps the same meaning as eye candy.

It probably has a similar meaning as easy on the ears/easy listening - bland.
Easy on the eyes would be, visually bland, not stimulating, comparing, say, a George Wood landscape with a silkscreen of Campbell soup or Marilyn Munroe by Andy Warhol.
