Do you believe in 'Love yourself and love will find you'? Do you think its that simple?

I am in a contemplative mood today so want to know if this worked for anyone.

I would love to think it is that simple, but I'm afraid it's not.

Yes. I wasn't even looking and love found me. He left me a note in my car after he finished checking it. My grandmother's ugly Oldsmobile didn't pass. But two weeks later (made him wait), I called him up and we went on a date. Been together ever since, married with a baby on the way.

Had you chose to throw the note away nothing would have happened! Saying "no" has never attracted love into anyone's life. Both his actions and your actions made the relationship possible. Dating/relationships are the result of (choices) we make. :-)

Yes and no. Loving yourself generally means you are a positive person. People are naturally attracted to happy and positive people. No one wants to hang out with a negative person.
Having said that everything we get in life requires some type of "action" on our part. Even a lottery winner buys a ticket!
Loving yourself at home is not going bring you love. You have to get out and mingle with people, socialize, and have a genuine interest in getting to know others as well as saying (yes) to "possibilities".
"The Law of Attraction" does not replace "The Law of Action".
"If you want something different you have to do something different!"

I think it IS that simple, but you still have to get out and meet people. If you're doing what you love (whether it's a pottery class, volunteering at the library, or playing pool at the local pub) you're taking care of yourself and your needs, AND you're going to meet other people who enjoy it too. Period. But no matter how much you love yourself, you still have to live a socially active life. Love isn't going to just knock on your door. smile
