Why Women Sometimes Hate Men!

Updated on April 28, 2014

What makes women absolutely hate men?

Don't get me wrong here! I am not a hardcore feminist or anything to say "I hate men" with deep vehemence. But there are times when we women just hate men. Only at times mind you! I'm sure guys feel the same about the women in their life at times. The feeling is certainly unavoidable. You feel like tearing their hair apart, or better shoot down your partner. But thank god we are not barbaric in nature anymore.

I was deeply amused to see that there were numerous sites online dedicated to "I hate my husband". Sites where people go on and on about how they hate their partners and how they were feeling miserable. But the end point is that they all love their partners too which is why they don't want to leave hence ending up resolving their problems.

What makes women completely go mad and hysterical when it comes to men? What makes women hate men? What are the reasons why women hate men? Here are some of the things I feel that can drive a woman to hate her man.

P.S - Please, I repeat PLEASE do not take the things written on this hub in a serious manner. It is just meant for a casual fun read.

Why I Hate Men Video

Why Women Hate Men? Reason #1 - The Male Ego

Now I can see many women out there nodding their heads to this!

The numero uno reason why any women would hate her man would be because of his ego. The very gentle, powerful yet complex male ego. The man can do absolutely nothing about it - it's all inbuilt but at times women wish that men let go of their egos to understand their viewpoint once in a while.

Why Women Hate Men? Reason #2 - Too Girly?

I get plain irritated to see guys who cry at the drop of a hat. I don't mind seeing guys crying for matters that are worth crying for -- but for every damn single thing? Not really. This is quite a contrast to the previous reason where I mentioned the male ego can be a big problem, but that doesn't mean women like men who get very emotional over everything. There are times women want to shake their partner up and tell them to "act like a man".

Yes, we all want our partners to open up to us and crying is one such emotion which you show only when you are comfortable with someone. That's alright! But yeah, don't ever overdo it! Too much of anything can be a terror!

Why Women Hate Men? Reason #3 - Liar Liar!

I don't really know anyone who likes to get lied to! Women absolutely hate lies -- and when we are confronted with the truth we don't like the situation much either. Oh well! Women can be very complex at times.

It's very important in a relationship to be honest with your partner. If you keep lying to her about things she feels strongly about, boy are you in some trouble!

Why Women Hate Men? Reason #4 - Narcissism

Oh God! How I absolutely hate men who are narcissists! Women like to hear compliments and imagine a situation where the guy goes on and on about... himself. The girl keeps waiting to do some sweet talk, but the guy doesn't have time for all that. It can be cute to a point, but after that it just turns plain irritating.

Why Women Hate Men? Reason #5 - Too Flirty!

It is human tendency to flirt whenever you come across an attactive personality of the opposite sex. Women are generally possessive about their partners and they absolutely hate men who give too much of their attention to someone else. Heck, we don't even like it that much when men shower too many compliments about another woman. Trust me, if you are going out on that first date -- you can't make the situation more worse than talking about the various "gorgeous" people you have dated before in your life.

Why Women Hate Men? Reason #6 - "Sorry! I Forgot!"

The number of times I have heard my husband say "I forgot!" is countless. It might be just one of his little tricks to avoid chores, but it can be plain irritating to hear! We don't like important dates to be forgotten and women hate men who forget how "important" events can be.

Why Women Hate Men? Reason #7 - Too Tired to Help!

Women are good at multitasking, but how we wish men were too! There are times when you return from work and you look for some help around the house, but you don't get any! That's one of the times women completely hate men. If you have kids to tend to, then god bless you!

Naah, I'm too exhausted from all this typing....but I do have to say, women can be the same way...but I love em anyhow!

The deer in the headlights thing bugs me. The thing that shows he thinks that every single thing you do or say, is a trap, something to catch him, something he must figure out and avoid. If I say, what do you want for dinner, that's what I mean, nothing else. REALLY. The second thing is that my period is not the cause of everything I do or feel. Sometimes I'm mad, and for good reason...not because of my hormones.

Men - you either love 'em or hate 'em. Some days I can do without them totally. I love "hate men movies". I guess I have been lied to and treated like dirt by men, so an occasional hub or movie can make me feel better. Thanks for sharing.

DivaCratus, nothing is too weird for me, it was only my curiosity.

I am not angry at all, frankly I am too sleepy even for my own taste! Why I write like that - I do tend to dissect things. Reason #1 - I have two degrees in the Technical field. Being an engineer and not being analytical, impossible, even though some engineers tell me that they are neither analytical nor logical. Maybe they are not! (LOL) Forget my assumptions, I have to take their words for it.

So, take my word that I am not angry at all. What is there to be angry about? Besides it is just not me. My son and my mother are explosive, Boom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! go fireworks of anger! I have seen too much of it (last two episodes? this morning!!!) My son doesn't want to go to school (double explosion!), my mother is mad because my father said something to her (boiling for a few days!) Maybe I have seen too much of hatred hence my response. I don't hate.

Emotionally, the response was flat just as my current mood. I hope it will improve tonight when we will be celebrating "the OLD New Year" and you wondering if I can handle weird things. Weird is my middle name, LOL!

      Looking forward to your writings,

Kallini - You sound angry! Calm down :) You're entitled to say whatever you want to, don't hold back or anything just coz I said something. I understand your sentiments.

Anyway, about my nickname - Cratus signifies strength and power in Greek. I coined up two terms to come up with an unheard of nickname :P You can call me Kalpana (it's an Indian name), if you feel 'divacratus' is too weird to use.

Dear Divacratus! (I wonder what that means?!)

I felt hate, of course, and envy and anger. But I am old enough (oh, no... those feelings make me miserable). What I hate! are feeling those feelings. I did read your hub carefully, I know you are mocking, but I probably failed to convey my point properly. It does sound too seriously, you are right.

To me, it was funny to a point, but what I find with others they tend to hang on to words... "hate, hate, hate", it becomes a cliché. People start repeating after each other without stopping to think even for a second.

It is the usual comment "I agree, great, make sense, I hate,..." Start digging, there is no hatred. Or women do lie, not only do they lie, but they are more creative at it, because they are more verbal and physically weaker, in order "win the battle of giants" - they outsmart (lying is only a part of it!)

No, I did not take it seriously, I found your hub nicely done. Thanks for pointing out how my response sounded, next time I will try to make adjustments.

It is always trial and error,

      All the best,

@Kallini - "Hate" is certainly a strong word but in the moment of anger if you have never muttered to yourself "I hate him so much!" then you really are more forgiving and patient than the average female! :D I'm not using "hate" in a bad sense here. It's normal to feel hatred and most of us don't even acknowledge the feeling as 'hate' thinking it is too strong a word. If you read the hub carefully, I'm even mocking fun at the girls. Please take the hub in a lighthearted sense :) Even the videos aren't serious.

I'm just saying what women hate to hear or see from her guy. Never mentioned they are specific only to men :) And if you note I keep mentioning "women hate men AT TIMES" -- not ALL THE TIME! Even the title mentions "sometimes".

Thanks for reading and commenting! :)

      I cannot hate men.

      1. to hate is too strong a word.

      2. too much a generalization (shall I hate my grandfather, father, son, my friends?)

      3. What I would absolutely hate the world of women only!!!

      Women can be brutal!

So, it is not men in general or women in general, it is certain traits that can be deal breakers.

Of all 7 reasons, none are men-specific, especially lying and being narcissistic!
