Try Not To Be Green With Envy

Its interesting how some people will see this as a kids issue. No that is not always the case. Adults are also envious of others. It can be for the vehicle that they are driving. Or the home that they are living in. Even for the kind of pet that they have.

Sometimes the envy is there because you want something. I know one of our neighbors had a TR3. This car seamed small to me. But when I got in I had leg room. And being over 6' tall I was amazed. This was when I was in my 20's. I am much older now and still think back to that car and wonder how he could afford it and I couldn't. Now I know why. But it was a few years of envy that I went through.

It is interesting how you don't see it as envy until you look back on the issue. But it is there none the less. Also as you look at the picture with those around you them being envious of you you may not always see.

1. With my current job I am working a combination A B and C shirt. Mostly B but still pulling the extra time to help cover the carry over.
2. Taking three times to propose to my wife. To see what I am talking about check out this lens I did up for my wife.

3. Waited till the last minute for that last thought to come into my head before publishing something. Say like this lens with this countdown.
4. When growing up I had to wear a patch over my right eye. Now a days they have the kind that you can take on and off as it has a band that goes around your head. When I was wearing them they were the stick on kind that was like a double strength band aid designed "not" to come off.
5. Falling asleep on the waiting room floor at the dentist office. Only to wake up in time for a new filling to be added to the collection.

I joined Squidoo towards the end of April. The gentleman above joined about 20 days later. I don't remember if he found my sites first of I found his. But we seam to have created a friendship even though we have never met in person.

One thing that I did not realize until this challenge was set before me is that I was also in a competition with him. The three areas that I was tracking were levels - lenses - Trophies. As I remember I always had him on the levels. The lenses and trophies we have flip flopped back and forth on the whole time.

I saw it as a great motivational tool to keep going. That is until this challenge was brought forth. At that point I realized that I was using that friendship more as a tool than a friendship. It doesn't matter who has what. What does matter is that we were both there checking each others postings and helping each other. Sometimes just knowing that we had checked out a new site meant more than a blessing or even having a site liked.

With that being said thank you to the friend that I have never met for being there even when I didn't know you were.

Its amazing what is written for kids and how adults can still learn a thing or two. Several of the Berenstein Bear's Books and videos were designed that way. In the good news this one was written and made into a video. I was able to find this video and share it with you today.

Yes I typed in on a Google search Green With Envy and pulled up some books on Amazon.

To be honest this one just looked like something fun to get creative with.
