Waiting.

Updated on May 9, 2012

A poem that I wrote many years ago that I just came across..

Timeless and true
Why must i always wait?
Forever longing for you
Why must we always part from a period so short?
I long to hold you. To touch you. To feel that you are real.

Fate works in mysterious ways
So frustrating and true
I wake up reaching out for you
Always finding that you are gone
And you will always be

I long to embrace your kisses
And to touch your real face; the patterns of your skin
Each cut and each scrape
So beautiful but in time
I know this will soon be mine
You will soon be mine
For a short second, minute or day
You will be mine.

I ask that fate will freeze us in place in the most perfect of perfect time

I will always be waiting for you
Forever longing
Forever waiting for you

Each second is killing me
Making the next more painful
Fate: puzzling, frustrating, agonizing and true.

I will always be
Forever longing
Forever waiting
Anticipating
Dissipating
Withering and falling apart
When wishing, hoping and dreaming are teasing and ripping at my heart.

I will always be waiting for you
Forever longing
Forever waiting
Waiting and waiting until fate makes us too late.

I am waiting for here and now
Forever waiting.
Forever longing
For here and now .

If love didn't hurt, then it would be pretty worthless, and not worth experiencing! Heartache is part of love, and so is loss. Sorry if that sounds harsh. But if I counted all the times I tripped on Love's great banana skin... LOL!

It's worth every bruise and every tear! Feel the fear and do it anyway, that's my motto! Cheers! That is me, I am now a fan!

Oh wow, heartache is a tough subject. But it is amazing how painful experience can make the ink flow in the pen of a writer. There is something in those experiences we all go through, that somehow give us a greater voice. We seem to express more of everything. Life is strange.

Wow, this is captivating. So much longing in this, too.

"Waiting ...until fate makes us too late"

I love that line. There is nothinig more frustrating than waiting for someone to love you back... and it is forever trying to happen.

Lovely poem. I see more new hubs. Yaay, gonna read them. :)
