Something Mysterious Happened

On July 11^th 2001 the house where I use to live was burnt to the ground and only debris remained. It’s a pretty long story as to how the house ended up burning which I don’t want to go into, because it will only stir up hate and anger. All in all I was happy that it was burnt down for several reasons.

• It wasn’t a healthy environment for us to grow up
• That house was sort of haunted and have many stories behind it.... I personally saw things "spirits" there which was very scary.
• I always wished and prayed that we moved out from that place.. God answered my prayer by letting it burn.

Anyway this house was my great grandmother’s own which she left for my grandmother. When my grandmother married her second husband she left it for some of her children to live in as it was parted off into apartments. What I really want to get into is the day or two after the house was burnt down, I was staying at my uncle’s house at the time of the incident so we had made arrangements to go and see what the status of the place was.

When we arrived there all we saw was rubble and we went inside being very careful not to walk hard as we could have fallen through the flooring because it was an upstairs and downstairs. Everything was burnt to capacity except one thing which was very strange and mysterious. Just where my mother Joining room was located we had a huge king James Version Bible with pictures illustrating different bible stories. My uncle reached for the bible in astonishment and when we opened it the edges were burnt (just the white boarders) but all the scriptures and verses remained as though the fire had not tampered with it.

How that could possibly have happened after the fire gutted the house from top to bottom unless God himself had protected His word. It further confirmed our belief in God that He liveth and abideth forever and forever more.
