A Legend or Truth?

Updated on August 29, 2012

The Dead

A Families Legend

My family was supposedly cursed by a black magic witch. It could have been by one of the witches that hated my grandfather; because he would help this white witch doctor by casting out spells or reversing spells on the unfortunate ones! If not one of those witches then it could have been the witch that hated my great aunt.

Apparently my mom’s aunts’ husband cheated on her (this goes back to the late 1950’s) and at the time he didn’t know she was a witch. Well he ended up getting this lady pregnant and when she told him, he didn’t want anything to do with her and put an end to their affair. During this time my mom’s aunt left her husband and went to stay with my grandma (my mom’s mom) and my mom was around 10-12 years old.

Before I proceed, let me give you a little information about my lovely mother who I know has never told me a lie! She is the most wonderful, loyal, kind, loving, and strong individual that I know. She is also a woman of God; whom I’ve never ever heard neither curse nor judge a living soul. Well she believes that she was given a “gift” from God (others may call it a sixth sense). She has or had the ability to see spirits or dead people what ever you may call it and she also can sense and see the signs of some one who has been cursed by the dark side. Further more, with these abilities she has saved the lives of some who could have ended up like her aunt. Well let me get back to my story and maybe I will write about the ones who were saved by my mom but on a different hub!

My mom’s aunt started to get ill a lot out of the blue, one minute she would be perfectly fine and the next minute she would be crying with agonizing pain. They would take her to the doctors and they couldn’t understand nor explain what was happening to her. Well my mom’s aunt was sick all the time (after her husband left the lady who practiced black magic); she became bed ridden so they kept her in the living room also known as the T.V. room, in a hospital bed. However my mom had this habit of watching television late that she would sometimes fall asleep on the couch. One night that she had fell asleep on the couch, she was awakened by her aunt’s cries, she cried out saying, “no no leave, and just leave me alone”! My mom said,

When she opened her eyes she couldn’t believe what she had seen and she was so scared that it made her freeze but she also kind of made this huh sound. When she made this sound this black object in the shape of a persons shadow, got distracted or more like surprised that my mom could see it. My mom then shut her eyes so tight and fast and tried to yell for her mom but nothing would come out of her mouth because she was so afraid. Even more so scary she felt something or that thing pull on one of her pony tails, like if it was mocking her. Afterward it eventually stopped and disappeared.

My mom’s aunt just got worse and eventually died. Her death was in the Los Angeles Times, because the doctors didn’t have a diagnosis for her sickness and had never seen anything like this before. When she died she had big burn blisters all over her body but had no cause of death!

As time passed my mom’s youngest sister my aunt Daisy, believe's that one of the witches had cursed our family with bad men and that all of the women in our family would marry a man just like my great aunts husband; so far this legend is very believable. On the other hand it may just be a coincidence or not?

Very interesting. I have to say that I would most definitely believe that in your aunt's case someone was sending spirits to psychically & physically attack her. In many cases of curses and psychic attack the victims are simply making it up in their heads and are paranoid; however, this case seems different indeed. Especially since you mentioned the burn marks on her body with no real cause of death. I am sorry she had to die in that manner, but don't let the idea of a curse determine how you and the women in your family live your lives. And don't blame decisions with men on that...just make good decisions. :) Blessings, sweetie. You're a star.

Very intriguing and sad! I believe in supernatural existence and here in India the concept that witches exist is pretty ancient!

I can also sense bad or negative vibes cause according to my mythology... my "rasshi fal" (somethin related to the stars... is weak... so the field which my body carries is penetrable ...

Haven't you found a counter curse or something like that with some help... ?
