A New Season in Life

Updated on March 30, 2015

A New Season

A New Season

For years I was lost and confused because of the pains of my past. While I wanted to live life to the full I was empty inside. My life was like a roller coaster with lots of ups and downs, but no consistency. For many years I lived in this pattern, but I didn't want to. I had dreams, desires to be a good man, father, husband, etc. Yet, it seemed like there was no hope.

I remember one day taking a walk in the spring, and as I looked around I saw flowers blooming, grass turning green, and trees budding. What I saw was things that seemed to have been dead, but were now coming alive. That is what I wanted in my life.

That next day I called a friend to share my story, and this started opening up my heart to healing. This began a journey of recovery and restoration. Today I am living a life that is moving forward, and I am no longer living in my past.

Why do I write this? It's my desire to bring you hope. I am thankful to God for not giving up on me, and God hasn't given up on you. Please, don't give up on yourself.

As a ventriloquist since 1985 I was going to stop doing this as I had nothing left to give. But that one spring day everything changed. Now as a ventriloquist my motto is to share hope, laughter, and inspiration to audiences everywhere.

You can experience your own spring day too, even if it is winter outside. Let God begin to heal your heart from your past. You can have a new day that will also lead to a life of recovery and restoration.
